    Better then red heat lights
These get hot. Seem to be safer then the red heat light that always shatters. Would use these before the red light.

    Chick Brooder Box Heater
To protect chicks from cold winter nights, heat lamps were needed for a thermostatically controlled brooder box. This is an outdoor box located in a very dark area. I didn’t want standard light bulbs to draw attention to it. A 110 VAC thermostat controls the box temperature. Salvaged recessed double wall ceiling fixtures were used to mount the heat emitter bulbs in the box lid. Performance has been better than expected, long lasting, not overly fragile to movement, slow to heat & cool, heat not overly concentrated.

    Work great
Not much to say, they work as they should. I use them with my Tegus and my bearded dragon. I liked the price that’s why I picked this set. Temperature has been good so far, I have them on a thermostat so it shuts off when the enclosure is up to heat. Haven’t had one die on me yet.

    One worked.
One worked. At first I got worried cause they smelt like something was burning than made cracking sounds. Both worked but after one day one just stopped working. I tried everything to see if it would go back on. And it’s dead. The other one had to use and it’s still working. Kinda disappointed though since it stopped working during the night when my bearded dragon needed his heat.

    Great for poultry
Great alternative to brooder lights for baby chicks. Allows total darkness, more efficient.

    Scam
Nowhere on the box, instructions or product is the wattage listed, provided little heat and burned out quickly.

Great, although you have to be careful
Does the job. In an 8 X 9 room with the heat on, you need to sit pretty close to this to get a warm effect. Dries the hair great. Fits into the standard Walmart chick bulb clamp holder.

We have 2 bearded dragons and these are what we use to keep them warm overnight. They work fantastic and are a great price. Shipping was faster than expected by 3 days and I live in a rural area. I highly recommend them.

Came in a package of two bulbs. I have one in a chicken brooder and one in the chick’s coop. Small, sturdy and give off a lot of heat. Takes a little time to warm up an area, but once it reaches temperature it works great. I really like that it doesn’t give off any light so it doesn’t disrupt the chickens sleeping schedule, but you do have to be careful because it’s easy to burn yourself if you’re not careful.I would recommend them over traditional heat bulbs for chicks. Much safer, less fire hazard.

If you’re ordering these for your reptile keep in mind these bulbs produce extreme heat that can and will harm your animal if you aren’t using a proper thermostat. Do NOT use these bulbs in any old bulb socket, you MUST do your research before slotting them in and letting them cook your little friend alive. I tested one in an old lamp fixture I had laying around to see what would happen and immediately sparks/flames occured as the socket was not rated for these bulbs, causing a short. Do your research and keep your friend alive!
