Sound professional advice on what to do until the veterinarian arrives.
Dr. Eleanor Kellon has created a quick and easy reference to conditions that require emergency treatment. Great pocket guide
Bought this for a gift exchange for a 4-H Christmas party and it was a hit with the teens. While it may be basic for experienced horsemen, it covers a wide variety of problems that can happen with your equine & would be perfect for the young horseman or beginner.

This book is a great reference to have on hand. I personally love the way itâs written, it doesnât have lengthy paragraphs of info, itâs simple written in bullet point for the most part making it extremely easy to read and itâs extremely efficient in emergencies when you need info ASAP. This photograph that was chosen for this book it very informative and makes it very easy to find the appropriate treatment for you horse! Another great aspect of this book is that it has each injury broken down by severity, by this I mean that it says what you so do in mild, moderate, and severe cases of each injury. The book is very neatly organized and isnât bulky! I absolutely love this book!

Everyone should keep one handy.

I wanted an Equine First Aid book to keep handy in my tack trunk at the barn in the event that something I was unfamiliar with happened. Our phones don’t always work out in the country so if you can’t ask Google DVM then an old fashioned book is good to have!
