Bluebirds line up for them
Took the bluebirds a day or two to find them but were incredibly popular during a two-day rainstorm while insects were scarce. Happy to have them on hand to supplement the birds’ food sources.

Good quality chicken treats!
We often get mealworms as a supplement to our chickens’ diets. These supply added protein which is very beneficial for chickens, especially in the winter months when insects are not available in our part of the country. These mealworms seem comparable to other mealworm brands. We were happy to give them to our chickens, and our chickens were VERY HAPPY to receive them. They gobble them right down without hesitation. I do think the price on this small amount of mealworms is a little steeper than normal, which is why I deducted one star.

Good product, cheap bagging
I order chicken treats frequently, across a number of platforms, and these treats are good quality, but the bag is very thin and cheap. Most of the larvae I purchase comes in a ziplock type seal bag and I never gave it much thought until I felt this one. Itâs enough to notice immediately when handling/unboxing. I donât think it would hold up well to constant open/close and handling.Humidity here is currently 91%, which is normal unfortunately, so I store chicken feed and treats inside, along with other pet food. And I measure out and grind larvae into chicken feed with any struggling chicks, so I do have to frequently open and close. Definitely donât want a bag of bugs nâ stuff to give way all over my floor. Yuck! Spilling food is bad enough, but larvae isnât a spill I want to clean up. Or accidentally leave a little bit of, just lying around on the floorâ¦.ew.I am going to transfer this to another container, so itâs an easy fix, itâs just something to note. Manufacturer should upgrade the bags!

useful for a chicken treat.
Great product for animals. I was able to mix this into their feed or sprinkle as a treat and they ate it up. It did not take long for it to all be gone. There were a few adult beetles mixed in which i dont often see with products like this but I am not complaining: it is not like the adults are toxic. Just letting you know what you are getting in to.

None of the wild birds would touch it. I put it out soaked and dry. Maybe I need to find some chickens to give it to.

Pleased with this purchase. The wild birds approve! Nice resealable bag that stands on its own. Included desiccant in the bag to keep dry.
