Best light Iâve tried.
10 years ago this would have been hundreds of dollars. Couldnât be happier, it provides enough light to grow dwarf baby tears well. The timer is a life saver too. I run at 12 hours (no direct sunlight). It turns off at 9pm, and turns on at 9am. Very short wake up period, though. But I prefer it that way. Easy to use and figure out.It does have a lot of modes but beyond dimming a little bit or providing warmer light instead of daylight, I havenât really played with it too much. Thereâs a disco mode where it goes between all the colors. Donât have black light fish or plants so no idea if thereâs a black light feature. But itâs the best light Iâve ever had and for the price I might get more for other tanks.

Really great aquarium light at a good price point. The ones at the pet stores are at least double the price. This one doesnât put off any sound or heat, but itâs easy to use and works as expected.

The small one is not for 12″ wide
It’s a pretty light, and I like that it fades on and off instead of blinding the fish to death. The power supply makes a concerning high-pitched sound when the timer is on, but also I bought this because it says it fits 7″-12″ but it only extends to 11″ and the tank I needed it for is 12″. I would like to keep the light though, its a good amount of light for my little 3 gallon. I will be searching for some kind of extender arms, or maybe I can make my own out of wire. I really like the height of the arms it comes with, they are just not wide enough for my tank.Also want to add that the top of this light gets super hot, especially compared to any of my other lights this style.

Runs VERY HOT.
I was really excited about this light. I have the same version in a smaller size, but have that the 24/7 mode was not adjustable and I didnât like the full 17 hours of cycling from dawn to daylight to dusk. I was excited to be able to adjust the time for this cycle. The light arrived and I set it up and turned it on, but upon checking it a few hours later, the light was extremely hot to the touch and the plug was also very hot. This was alarming because my other hygger light is always cool and the plug not light have ever gotten hot. Iâm afraid this is a fire hazard and am returning it immediately.

I using it to start seeds indoors and indoor plants display after transplanting.It works well with a 5 gallon aquariumTall enough to let the plants grow taller.The main reason was bright, with two options for light hight everything is included to power the light. Timer letâs choose options for light, little confusing at first but as with most things nowadays itâs doable.

Light output is poor, not evenly distributed. 24/7 settings are ok. But there is much better options out there for compact lights. Might return it.Update : light control unit has started emitting a high pitch ring/ping when powered off. So all night long you have a ringing sound that drives your ears crazy. Turns off the moment the lights power on.. junk light. Purchased new light; Pawfly is much higher quality – better light output as well.
