My children absolutely loved it! It kept them engaged and entertained while also helping them learn. They were able to recognize animal names, imitate the sounds each animal makes, and practice identifying letters of the alphabet. It’s a fun and educational resource that supports early language development in a playful way. I highly recommend it to any parent or teacher looking for an interactive learning tool for young kids!

Good product overall with audience of 4-6 probably being ideal
I ordered this more for the animal figurines than the case or the learning aspect because it is for a soon-to-be 2-year-old who loves animals rather than a pre-school ready 3 or 4 year old. That being said, we like having the case to store and organize the animals. Putting them in the right slot can be time consuming with an impatient toddler under 2, however, and the finicky former teacher in me gets a little bothered by some of the animals being…odd. Some of them look kind of strange (koala, monkey, vole and yak) and kiddo can’t recognize them and others are hard to pronounce (quetzlcoatlus). In all, I think this does have educational value and my child is a little young to reap the benefits of that value to its fullest. My 4-year-old is much more prone to wanting to learn more about the animal names and putting them in the proper slot in the case. The case, by the way, isn’t constructed super great so a little hot glue may be used in the near future to better hold the cardboard shelves in place. Other than that, it’s a good value for a gift that serves an age range of 2-6, has a lot of figurines in it and can be engaging when used as intended and with adult assistance.

My child loves it!
This animal toy set is so cute—my child couldn’t put it down the moment they saw it! Each animal matches with a letter, which helps kids learn both animals and the alphabet. We play the “matching game” together every day, and my child has learned so much through play.

nice animal set – if you have moderate expectations.
…pretty much what the title states. for full honesty – i ordered these animals simply for the animals. my daughter loves playing with small figurines like the ones this kit came with. i didn’t get it for the so-called ‘learning alphabet letters’ aspect or anything like that. that being said, the animals themselves are cute and my daughter does enjoy playing with them. they are on the cheaper side, and don’t expect too much attention to detail. some of the animals might be a bit advanced for the younger kids – heck, i’m not even ashamed to admit that i didn’t know what the animal for v was – it’s a ‘vole’ by the way. i was convinced it was a beaver, and even looking at the description on this page, i’m still going with beaver. it also says ‘bee’ for the letter b, but it’s a bear so…i’m not sure what’s going on with that. the little playmat is nice quality and does give kids the opportunity to place animals according to the letter they start with, which is nice. my daughter said the animals are smaller than she thought, and the same with me, so supervision is probably best if younger children are playing with these. upon writing this review, this set was priced at $19.99, which is about what i’d expect to pay given the quality.
