How To Use
Fill the litter box with 2/3 of previous cat litter and 1/3 of I AM TOFU.Increase the proportion of I AM TOFU gradually until the previous cat litter is completely replaced.After the adjustment period, pour the I AM TOFU to a depth of 2″ to 2.7″ (5-8 cm). Scoop out the clumps after used by cat.The clumps can be flushed into a toilet or dispose into a trash bin.

The first and only cat litter we’ll use
This was the first litter we tried for our kitten in the fall. It has worked so well for us that we haven’t tried anything else since. We have used the Peach scent the whole time. When you add to the litter box fresh from the bag, you’ll notice a light fragrance but it’s not overwhelming. We’ve never smelled urine. We clean the box twice a day (after she does #2) and flush the litter. It dissolves super quickly in the toilet and doesn’t clog. We use a top entry litter box and between the two there’s not much litter tracking. We are subscribed to get one bag delivered per month, and that usually lasts over a month. I could honestly change the subscription to every 5 or 6 weeks and we’d be fine. I like that the litter is eco-friendly and not making a negative impact on the environment.

Awesome litter for your cat and the environment
I was using a mail order tofu kitty litter that is pretty much exactly what this one is, but this one is more affordable and due to COVID, the mail in was over 8 weeks behind shipping. I had tried to be patient, but had to buy other types twice as I waited. I found this on Amazon and was hopeful it would be as good.I feel it is. Mind you, no litter should ever be flushed because it will gum up your pipes (if your cats have been tested and are negative for parasites and are strictly indoor cats, flushing poo is fine). I wanted however a biodegradable litter that was less harmful to the environment. I’d tried other types, but this is why I prefer this tofu kind:1. It smells herbal and fresh.2. Absorbs odor IMO. Other than when my one cat doesn’t hide her poo, it absorbs the smells.3. It doesn’t turn to dust/disintegrate. I don’t have to wash boxes anymore. I just refill with more litter as it does notbreak down like other litters do.4. It tracks less than other kinds of litter. Seriously. I don’t find litter everywhere. I have a cat who is part Maine Coonand she has thickly padded and furry paws that I swear she used to play with other litter brands like confetti as ifto say, “yay, I pooped.” That does not happen with this litter-some kernels come out, but not much.5. Clumps really well. -As it should!6. Comes in 18lb or 6lb. I tried the smaller bag first, to ensure that I would like the litter. The 18lb comes in three vacuum packed bags. Saves me money and I get it on autoship, so save money, too.Overall very pleased with this product and thrilled that Amazon carries it.

One of the Best Tofu Litters
Flushable! A low tracking, low dust litter, that clumps well for multiple cats. Expect to scoop more often, but you won’t mind if you can flush it. With low-tracking you’re unlikely to find this litter in your laundry baskets. The peach scent is pleasant and provides decent odor control. We seem to use less litter overall since we switched to tofu-type litters. We also have a puppy, who occasionally will get into the litterbox. The tofu litter won’t cause her harm, whereas the clay litter made her sick.It’s worth noting, we’re using a regular non-mechanical litterbox. So I can’t comment on the effectiveness or compatibility of tofu litter in those devices. Also, given what you’re paying, you’re going to want to scoop and thoroughly sift the clumps to keep as much of the dry litter in the box.My only issue with this product is the high price, about $10-13 higher than its competitors for 20lbs. It’s a good litter, but is it $10-13 better per month (your mileage may vary)? We’re still testing other tofu litter brands with our 2 cats to find out.If price isnt a concern for you. “I am Tofu” seems to be one of the best tofu litters available. If the cost gives you “paws”, there are other comparable brands you could try for less, but you’ll miss out on peach scent.

Best litter!
I tried tons of different brands and this is the best one. It really blocks the awful ammonia smell of cat urine and it clumps pretty well. It also pretty dust free and low tracking. The only issue is that it’s often out of stock, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Does this ‘I Am Tofu’ cat litter have chemicals and dyes in it–Beware!
The I Am Tofu cat litter did not meet my expectations. The Green Tea scent was so overpowering strong, that it engulfed our house and I could not sleep well. I have never experienced a Cat Litter as this one, that had such a strong smell! It was NOT Green Tea. I could not get the smell out until I opened the windows to get some fresh air. I also had to dump all the cat litter from the Litter Boxes in the trash, because I could not go into the Litter Box room because I could not stand to breathe that stuff. When you make a cup of Green Tea and drink it, the scent is easily washed out. I could not get rid of the smell/’scent’ from the container I had put the litter in! Another thing is that you do not know what ingredients are in there. I know Tofu is made from soy beans. But what else is in there??! How do you get cat litter to be pink, green or white? Don’t you have to use some kind of dye? And what other chemicals are in there? Especially what did they use to get that strong smell from the litter??! What about the health of your cats? I returned both bags.

The packaging was vacume sealed but once you open it MY GOD does it punch you in the face with the smell. I don’t even really need an air freshener for my bathroom because it just reeks of flowery peaches. Could be overkill for some people but honestly i really like the smell of peaches so i’m perfectly happy with its smell.The litter is pink pellets. it’s cylindrical pellets which remind me of vaguely rodent/fish food.There isn’t too much in the bag though, i’d say the bag size that i bought (2.8kg) would be good for maybe 1 or 2 large litter box changes but could be 3 or 4 in a smaller box.Just for reference i have 1 cat, full adult.Edit; MY CAT SMELLS LIKE PEACHES , IT’S SO CUTE!!â¡
