Cool!
I bought this to help cool our camper and it does the job. We just needed a little more cool air until we have a second air conditioner installed. My advice would be to buy extra ice packs so you can switch them out and keep the machine cooling longer. It cools for about 6 hours before needing to freeze the packs again and add water.

It was awful. I really hoped it would work based on reviews and pricing but it was a waste.It began to squeak when it rotated after only a short time of use.Ice packs do not cool the water and thaw rapidly. I used actual ice cubes instead.Water tank became grimy and swampy, even though I used filtered water.When water runs out (quickly), instead of turning off the cooling mode, the pipe continues to suck and make loud gurgling noises.The highest fan setting barely creates a breeze. My ceiling fan is more effective. I have to practically put the fan on my bed to feel anything while laying down.

Not a good product
Seriously unhappy with this product right off the bat – it is super loud and the water holder is so flimsy and did not work right as soon as I took it out of the box. This product is on the expensive side, so it was extra disappointing that this was such a bust from the beginning. In hindsight I should have read the reviews before I bought this, so no real surprise that it is not a good purchase as others have already confirmed.

I thought I was getting a great purchase. I scanned through all the reviews of every ac fan thingie there was on amazon for a good price and when I came accross this one they were all verified purchases and had amazing reviews. I guess itâs my fault because it was too good to be true. There is no difference between the cool mode and the fan mode. I put lord of ice, ice packs, and water from the fridge in there and the air still feels the same. It is a $145 dollar fan:( I am still holding out hope that it might work but I think I am going to have to return it soon so I can find a better one that will actually cool my room. It is very quiet tho.

Easy to use & QUIET
I returned a small portable air conditioner and decided to try this swamp cooler approach. It actually keeps the temperature in my solarium at an appropriate level without being either too cold or allowing the temp to get too high. I did find that the enclosed ice packs did not produce a long enough time of Cold Water. So every hour I go out and throw some ice cubes in the water tank. And it keeps the 3 season room/solarium about 80° when it’s almost a 100° outside. it works well.I would’ve given it five stars, but you do have to replace the ice cubes hourly.
