The two sockets accommodate the Zilla Mini Compact Fluorescent Bulbs and Mini Halogen Bulbs, perfect for desert or tropical environments. The light fixture fits securely on any terrarium with a screen cover. Built-in reflectors provide maximum heat and UVB penetration. Bulbs not included.

Does it job and well built
Good compact light/heat lamp combo. Sits perfectly on top of my gecko enclosure, very well built as well. canât find a single thing to complain about.

Tiny but Mighty!!
Great product! Delivery was fast and product arrived perfectly. Got it at a much more reasonable price then my local pet store so I will most likely buy more if the cost stays the same.Ive only been using this for a day. I got the Zilla mini compact uvb bulb and a Zilla day halogen bulb. I turned it on and it worked which I was worried it wouldnt. Put it on top of my 20g gecko terrarium and little gecks woke up an immediately went to check it out. Gets warm very quickly. He has a heat pad on the bottom of his cage and this on top now instead of an infrared as I wanted him to have UVB but the cage itsnt really fit for multiple light fixtures. You would need more than one of these fixtures for a larger tank but this has kept my temps perfect all day an im sure the uvb is feeling great for him! Its not too small but not too big, compact in height, and puts out great heat.I will update my review in a few months to see how it is lasting.

Looks nice, but Bulbs not included/uses uncommon size UV bulb
Pros- Looks better than the dome type reflectorsCon#1- Bulbs do not come with itCon#2- Bulbs are a mini type with a 2 pin base not as easily found as other bulb types.Works perfectly on our 12x12x18 Zilla terrarium with an Anole. Fits the top nicely without touching the plastic edges of the top and does not get overly hot with a 25w heat lamp installed. Looks a whole lot better than having 2 dome type reflectors on top and actually provides a better heat gradient for our Anole than the dome reflector that came with the tank did. The dome reflector seemed to focus the heat more and the upper basking spot was getting too hot. (100f+) Measured with a temperature gun I get 85-90f at the top of the tank on the upper basking spot, 75-80f in the middle basking spot and 70-75f on the bottom substrate. Buyer beware, bulbs do not come with this fixture and you will have to shell out another $20 or so for them. The halogen heat lamps are pretty common, but the mini UV lights with the 2 pin base are much harder to source other than from Zilla. Wish they had made the fixture with the 2 pin halogen socket on one side and a standard socket on the other.

Great light
The light works perfect for my leopard geckos. My terriums are only 12 inches tall and are stacked so the lights need to go inside instead on the top of the cage. I was able to mount this light up high so it works much better than the other lights. I just ordered another 6 of them for my other cages. Would highly recommend these if space is an issue

Great Compact UVB / Heat Lamp Combo
I use these lights on my Leopard Gecko cages. Some people say they do not need light. I subscribe to the fact that in nature the do have light and do come out before dark. Some amount of light is beneficial. It also helps them keep night and day straight. They provide a pretty good amount of heat for a small light as well. They are good for smaller terrariums or animals. Pay attention to the range for UVB lamp and the heat ratings of the various wattage bulbs. My cages are 18x24x12. I use the desert bulb in one that I bought from Petco as it was cheaper than Amazon and I could pick it up. I have the tropical in the other because I bought it for another purpose. That one was cheaper on Amazon. I plan to change that one with the Desert bulb soon.

LASTS LONG BUT GETS VERY HOT
So hot on outside it burns hands and even plant light burns plants, itâs only set on 83 thermostat

It is very low profile which is exactly what I was looking for (only 2 inches tall if I remember right) . Its surprisingly sturdy and built with good materials. I use it with their compact fluorescent tube and the 50w daylight white halogen bulbs.
