Cat bed shifts, but it’s sturdy!
The only issue with this is that the cat bed tends to shift around a bit. The elastics just cover underneath so the bed itself tends to move with my cats. BUT they also love it. It hasn’t fallen off and the rest of the system is perfectly fine so it’s not a problem to reset it on occasion, honestly.It was super easy to assemble. I’ve used other brands of this before and this one feels very very sturdy. The bottom section that attaches to the desk has an oblong shape which is great for really getting flush against the desk you’re attaching too. The poll and the wooden piece held up my 13 pound cat and hasn’t shifted or moved.Considering how much they make biscuits on the bed, I think it’s perfectly cat soft. Really good buy!

Perfect for your little clingy work buddy!
This is a fun idea! Whether your cat will use it will be dependent on them, but I can comment on the quality of the product. When I opened it I was pleased to see that it came with a screwdriver and two sized hex wrenches. I just moved and had not unpacked my tools yet so this was a welcomed surprise. The screwdriver was even magnetized!Build: Very easy to build. Took less than 10 minutesBase Quality: The metal base is very sturdy and all of the materials look to be high quality. Enough that I would trust it to hold the weight of my big cat.Bed Quality: The bed consists of the wood board (connected to adjustable arm) and a rectangle bed that attaches using elastic bands. The bed itself is not very fluffy, but then again cats do not need a fluffy bed. Even so, I do question the comfort a bit because it has such little stuffing. I am also curious to know if it will stay on or slide off with cat movement, because it is not really “attached” to the base. I will likely use some double-sided tape to add some more stability so it does not slide around. This is the only reason why I deducted a star.Size: The overall size would be perfect for most sized cats. It is not too big to be in the way of the workspace, yet big enough of a surface for the cat to be comfortable.Usage Tip: You will need the included hex wrench if you want to adjust the bed height, so I stuck mine over the base underneath my desk so that it is also available and does not get lost. See picture.Overall, the jury is still out for my cats, but knowing them they will ignore it for months and then decide its the best thing ever invented.

Quality not worth it
The metal is great. The rest of the quality is poor. I have large cats so I got the one for up to 35 lbs. My cats are 20 lbs. the whole thing leans when one of them is on there. The cushion doesn’t wrap around the board like other, higher quality cat beds. it just straps on with two straps leaving the board exposed and the sides aren’t enough to support them leaning against it, very flimsy. Overall, greatly disappointing.

Would have been five stars if not for cutting corners with plastic pieces and a cheap bed.
I clamped this onto the cat tree to create another spot for my cat to sun himself. My guy is 8 pounds for reference.Pros:All metal pieces are powder-coated with no snags or sharp edges.The wooden platform feels sturdy.Easy to assemble with the included tools, hardware, and instructions.The adjustable clamp will work for surfaces up to 2 inches.The platform can be moved up, down, and rotated 360 degrees.The bed material is soft to the touch.Cons:While the majority of this unit is well-constructed, the bottom clamp and turn handle are made from plastic. I was worried about tightening it too much and snapping the clamp.The bed feels like an afterthought. It’s too short, the edges do not wrap around the platform as they seem to do in the product photos, the sides have no structure, and the bottom padding is only a small square in the middle of the bed. The non-slip backing does nothing to keep it in place, and the two elastic straps that wrap around the wood are flimsy and will not prevent the bed from moving, possibly off the platform. If you don’t plan to frequently remove the bed, I recommend strapping it to the platform before screwing the metal platform support in place. This will keep the strap, and hopefully the bed, on the platform.I am not confident the bed will hold up to machine washing, and the cover is not removable.Despite the plastic pieces and the cheap bed, the sturdy mount is quality and helps make it worth the $44 price tag.

Excellent investment; sturdy, well made, and my kitty loves it!
Don’t know how this will hold up long-term but I can say I already love it and so does my smaller cat. It was extremely easy and quick to assemble, took me maybe 20 minutes by myself to put it together. The instructions are super easy to follow with clear pictures in color. The materials are all well made and durable, and I tested the sturdiness pretty thoroughly before letting my cat go anywhere near it and was satisfied that the thing was just not going to move. I do very much appreciate that the desk clamp doesn’t need to be nailed on or anything and, in theory, won’t leave any damage to my desk, too. I currently have it at the tallest position because I wanted one cat to be able to reach it and the heavier cat to be less enticed, and it works perfectly. While they get along he doesn’t always respect that she wants to not be bothered, so it’s providing a great space for her. She hopped up immediately when I let her and hasn’t tried to sprawl across my keyboard since lol. She’s been up and down several times and the ledge hasn’t wobbled or anything.I will say the pictures on the listing and even the instruction manual are a bit misleading about how plush the bed is. The sides are not nearly as full as the pictures imply. That said, the cat doesn’t seem bothered by it, and I think it’s actually easier for her to get in and out with a less plush bed, so I’m not unhappy about it.
