Not sturdy
Did not even last one week with two of my three horses – stitching has torn.It is very easy to fill, and unless you have gentle horses, I would look for something more sturdy

I had great hopes for this economical hay bag. Unfortunately they were not entirely realized.The positives: large capacity and fairly good construction of the body of the bag.The negatives: 1) the strap and hardware are cheap and not sturdy. In particular the snap on the strap. Itâs more suited to a ladies handbag than a feeder intended for live stock. 2) since there is no rigidity to the bag, it collapses in on itself. That, combined with the fact that the horse can only access the hay from one side creates a situation where the bag spins, and twists⦠a lot. This can be circumvented by attaching the bag to two separate, widely spaced points, but that requires advanced planning, and possibly additional hardware. In my case, it will reguire replacing the hanging strap entirely.

Love this bag! I needed a hay bag for the six giant french lops I rescued over a year ago. It’s been fabulous and reducing waste is a game changer!

Nice, sturdy bag
I bought this bag to use in my horse trailer. It looks to be very well made and has worked well for me on longer hauls. Also, I love the deep red color (matches my truck). The local tack stores wanted twice the price for a somewhat comparable hay bag.

Great for nondestructive animals
I’ve had to switch my gelding to two different types of hay, one of which he hates. I quickly realized I couldn’t put both types of hay in the same feeder because he threw the hay he didn’t like all over the place, creating a ton of waste that he stepped on/peed in. Traditional hay nets didn’t work because the hole sizes were too small (he is a draft) and were difficult to load. This seemed like a great solution because of the flap on top for ease of filling and the large hole sizes. Unfortunately, my gelding is impatient and didn’t like that he couldn’t reach the loose bits of hay at the bottom of the bag, so he would flip and spin it all over the place. Two weeks after I bought it he completely shredded the bag on both sides, past the point of being worth fixing. If your horse isn’t an absolute jerk and can eat out of a hay bag like a normal creature, then the quality of this bag and ease of use is definitely worth it.

Very sturdy large hay bag!
Love the adjustable strap, helped with hanging over a stall gate in our trailer. Very thick material and the openings are just big enough but not too big. Should last a long time

Decent enough bags but very very poor quality clips on them, both bags a bought the clips have broken after 3 uses. Very poor show.
