Perfect for my horses and mini’s…
Suprisingly, this hay feeder was so easy to install in my horses stable. It’s more than perfect for my horse because she eats 2 flakes of timothy from compressed bales of hay a day and this feeder fits the perfect amount of hay in it. The only downfall with this feeder is that the bars are spaced too far apart and there’s a good amount of hay that falls out on the ground when my horses eat out of it.I am very happy with this feeder and it is very beneficial for all of my animals. Its made out of a nice grade of metal and it will last for a long time. It didn’t take long to assemble, at all. It comes with all of the necessary screws to assemble it. My husband screwed it to the fence in my horses stable and the placement is perfect. I highly recommend this hay feeder. Great quality, very sturdy, suitable for my mares, and very affordable. This is a must have.

Good Looking Hay Rack
This wall mount hay rack looks really nice once you get it together. The rack is a matte black finish that appears to be powder coated. If you are looking to purchase a hay rack that looks good, this will fit the bill. If you are looking for a hay rack that will be used a lot, this may not be the one for you.It comes in pieces that you have to assemble with screws. They send an allen wrench for assembly. It was fairly easy to put together. Be aware that this is light weight once assembled. If I put this on the wall for any of my horses to use, I am sure that it would not hold up long. I am going to put it in with the goats. It may hold up for them as long as no one stands on it. They are goats so that could be a possibility! My chickens like to lay eggs in the hay racks so I know that it will get daily use from them. Overall, the quality is just ok if we are using large livestock to judge it against.

Great rack- for STUFFED ANIMALS ð¤¦ð»ââï¸
Oh how this fails- let me count the ways⦠I really wanted to love this hay rack. However, I suspect it was designed and manufactured by people whoâve never been around real livestock in their lives. For perspective, I own Shetland sheep who are the size of mini goats & range 60 to rarely 100 lbs. I opted not to even install this in my barn to see how long it lasts. My husband took one look & said he thought theyâd have it smashed in a day and could probably manage to injure or unalive themselves in the process. The description is very subtle in how it mentions this is total assembly required. It comes in a box about 8.5x11x4â. If you can assemble flat pack furniture you can put this together, but all those skinny little pieces across the front- all have to be carefully balanced between the top, bottom, & sides, and they only fit shallowly. I almost lost patience & tossed it in the assembly stage, until I fiddled a bit & followed common sense instead of the directions. I honestly have no idea what the decorative (?) little screw on knobs on each side are for other than to give animals one more thing to get caught on. I left them off, but out in the barn, this will provide lovely holes for stinging insects to nest in the feeder to come attack me or my sheep. There are flimsy little plastic caps on the front ends (see yellow circles in pic) that are already falling out now, & will also make nice insect homes. These arenât even the biggest fails on this rack. #1 failure: the longest spans of the rack are screwed together in the middle (see red circles). They are all hollow metal. One hit by a ram trying to push another out of the way is going to leave this thing looking like it was in a car crash. My fear is that it will leave my sheep looking the same. And those skinny little tines mentioned above? Certainly not going to hold this thing solid. Iâm a small female, & you can see in the 2nd pic how they compare to my finger. Hollow tubing. 3rd picture shows how the square tubing bent in from where I tightened the screws. Again, Iâm not a big buff guy with super- strength⦠just a small, middle aged female using the tool provided by the manufacturer. I see these bending or snapping into sharp spears to gouge into flesh or eyeballs. The spacing on the corners is just right to catch horns or heads. My sheep put their feet up on feeders as well, and since my husband could bend and wiggle this, I donât see it holding up to the full body press of multiple sheep. This is retailing for around $50, but it could potentially cost $100âs in vet bills or be fatal. Iâm not risking it. Itâs no more than cute farmhouse decor to store blankets or something.

Mid for blankets, unusable for hay
Giving 3 stars because it is usable as a blanket holder, which is what I got it for. It was pretty difficult to put together. The pieces really just don’t want to fit together and require quiet a bit of forcing. Even with just blankets, the material is thin and very cheap. One of the bars for the front has already fell out and is currently living behind my couch. If you intend to use this for hay for actual animals DONT. This would be terrible quality for any use but especially for anything that’s going to be beat up or pushed against by animals.

Surprisingly Perfect for Blanket Storage!
This review is for Hay Feeder, 27” Long Horse Goat Hay Rack, 16 Gallon Large Capacity, Heavy Duty Iron Hay Feeder Wall Mount for Horses, Sheep, Goats, Indoor Outdoor Uses, Effortless Installation in Farm, Yield.I got this to store throw blankets in our living room and it works way better than I expected! The 27-inch size is just right for holding several folded blankets, and the wall-mounted design saves floor space. Itâs made of heavy-duty metal, so it feels super sturdy and secure. Installation was quick with the included hardware, and it adds a cool rustic touch to the room. Even though itâs meant for hay, itâs a creative and functional solution for organizing cozy extras. Love it!

Not great
If it would stay together it would probably be great, but the bars are too short from top to bottom so they keep falling out.
