Youâve probably seen those over-the-top commercials with a guy yelling about bacteria in your HVAC condenser line and how itâs supposedly destroying your houseâeven if your condenser is in the basement. Itâs all a gimmick to sell an overpriced product. Hereâs what the pros actually do: they drop a tablet or two into the drain line during routine maintenance. Thatâs it.I know this because, during my last service, I noticed the technician using these tablets. I snapped a picture of the bottle, searched for it on Amazon, and found it. These tablets cost next to nothing compared to those high-priced inline injection systems, which are total overkillâlike putting a Ferrari engine in an old Monte Carlo. And honestly, who knows if those systems even work?These tablets dissolve slowly as condensation builds up, flushing away scale, bacteria, and other gunk from the drain line. To test it, I used a small inspection camera to check the inside of my line, and I was blown away. After 30 years, my drain line looks like brand-new PVC.If youâre dealing with condensation lines, this is all you need. Itâs simple, effective, and worth every penny.

Important preventative maintenance
Air conditioners create condensation that will cause expensive property damage if the drain is blocked. This produce prevents growth of micro-organisms that can block the drain. It is highly recommended by my AC service company.

Doesnât really control odors.
No clogging on the drain hose. Yet it doesnât really controls odor. You need to keep your unit clean of mild by the usual means diring maintenance.

Delivery came quicker than expected and hopefully this will help maintain the pipe “jelly” build up.Size is just nice, small enough to just drop it on the furthest end of the drip tray. To access this on my Mitsubishi aircon, I just had to lift up the filter and drop the tablet down.
