Great for my skink
My skink loves these gross little things! Iâve seen others complain about the smell, but itâs not too horrid. They donât stick around long enough for it to bother me anyway and Iâve got a sensitive shnoze. Also, it comes with a convenient little spoon and you donât have to get snail juice in your dishwasher.

Good size for a skink, and I’ve never found a shell piece in one
My reptiles enjoy them. I was worried they’d smell terrible, but they didn’t. The pieces are a good size for an adult skink, though I’ve had to cut a few because they were larger than I was comfortable with. I’ve gone through dozens of cans of the Zoo Med snails and have never found a shell fragment. I’ve kept them up to a week in the fridge without ever having an issue. They would probably last longer, but it’s not a risk I want to take. I think it’s a bit odd that they come with a collapsible spoon in the cover. It’s not like you’re going to be eating them (hopefully), but I suppose if you’re squeamish about touching them and don’t want to use your own silverware, it could be useful.

A NECESSITY FOR CUBAN FALSE CHAMELEONS!
I have 2 Cuban false chameleons and they absolutely love these! Snails are their natural diet (they eat and crunch them with the shell whole) but it’s very hard to find clean snails alive so these work perfectly! There isn’t a very strong smell when they’re fresh but when they turn you’ll know it (after about a week after opening, keep refrigerated after opening!) the picture is my 2 Cubans relaxing after eating these ðððððð FIVE STARS HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They certainly are snails in a can
I got these for an infant Cuban False Chameleon but unfortunately it was very sick and I was trying to feed it something soft. They are certainly snails that come in a can. I can’t say much more than that. They arrived fairly quick with no damage done to them and you get a decent amount for your dollar. I only gave it a 4 star because I can’t say whether they are liked or healthy for your pets because mine didn’t get to eat any.

What happened?
I have purchased these snails many times for my blue tongue skink, but the past few times I ordered them they were like cans of crumbs, not the plump whole snails that normally come.

Perfect for my Pink Tongue Skink and Eastern Blue Tongue Skink
Both of my Pink Tongue Skink and Eastern Blue Tongue Skink love these canned snails.

Not only will my axolotl not seem to recognize this as food, but when I tricked him into eating some, he changed color, stopped eating for a week, and had little balls of mucus all over his body for days… He barely survived.Do NOT feed this stuff to axolotls!
