High-Quality, Larger Crickets – A Big Hit with My Bearded Dragon
I ordered this 1 lb bag of LuckyQworms Dried Crickets as a supplemental treat for our bearded dragon, and they have been an absolute success. As soon as I offered one, he went for it immediately. It’s always a good sign when a picky reptile shows such enthusiasm for a new food source.âThe first thing I noticed upon opening the bag is that these crickets are a bit larger and more substantial than many other brands we’ve purchased in the past. They are impressively whole and intact, not just a bag of broken pieces, dust, and legs, which speaks to good quality control during the drying and packaging process. For an adult bearded dragon, this larger size is perfect as it provides a more satisfying crunch and a more significant treat per cricket.âI was also specifically looking for a product with a strong nutritional profile, and this one delivers. Mostly mealworms, some shrimp heads, and a few crickets
I got these for my wild birds who love crickets and mealworms. This mix is mostly mealworms, the shrimp all appear to be just shrimp heads, and there are very few crickets. Iâm disappointed because I wouldâve bought them separately or all crickets if I had known this bag would be mostly mealworms. The crows and the blue jays seemed to like the food, but I already knew they were mealworms fans. Hopefully they enjoyed the occasional cricket and shrimp head as a special treat. I was not a fan of the smell. My other bag of mealworms smelled like nothing. So I think itâs the shrimp heads that are giving off the odor. The bag is resealable, so I only had to smell it when I was putting it out. A fun sounding mix, but next time, Iâll go with a single protein source and mix it up myself, without the shrimp heads.

Great treat for my chickens
I recently ordered this insect mix for my flock, and overall Iâm very pleased! The hens gobble it up eagerly…itâs like giving them a gourmet treat. The mix has a great variety (mealworms, crickets, grasshoppers, and black soldier fly larvae) which makes it both nutritious and interesting.My chickens absolutely love itt. They peck vigorously and clear the dish quickly.It seems to add some enrichment to their feeding time (they enjoy sorting through it).The resealable bag helps maintain freshness and makes storage easier.One small thing to note: When I opened the bag, it appeared that about 90 % of the contents were black soldier fly larvae. Thatâs not terrible. BSFL are nutritious, but I was expecting more balance in the mix. Still, the chickens donât seem to mind, so in their eyes itâs a win.If you want a high-protein, engaging treat your birds will love, this is a solid choice. Even with the heavier BSFL presence, my flock devours it and seems healthier for it. Iâd still buy it again and just hope for a more even mix next time.

good solution for my picky turtle
My box turtle never showed any interest in live insects, and will go out of her way to ignore any food I’ve dusted with calcium. She’s happy to munch on this mix of dried insects though, which is major progress, since she’s finally getting a good source of insect protein and natural calcium in addition to the fruits, veggies, and other protein I give her. Based on similar products I’ve tried, I was expecting these to smell much worse than they do – it has a buggy scent to it, but it’s not that strong and not offensive. The trail mix seems like its mostly mealworms, which is fine for my box turtle. I chose the trail mix because I wanted to give her a variety of insects, but the mealworms are easiest for her to manage. These insects are completely dried, so I expect they’ll last a long time if properly stored. Portions can can be soaked for individual feedings, but it seems like my turtle doesn’t mind them dry either. If you have a flock of chickens or several hungry reptiles, this 1lb bag might go quicker than expected, but for my one small turtle it’ll take over a year to get through this amount.

Very large bag
I initially got these for my quail, I’ve never given them fish before. They had no interest so I popped some in my duck enclosure and oh my gosh! They went wild for them! I only gave them about half a cup as a treat and as large as the bag is it will last quite some time at that amount. There’s a zipper seal for easy storage and freshness, it also makes it easy to sprinkle the right amount. Fish themselves are genuine, they have heads and fins and everything. They almost look human food grade. They smell fishy, as you would expect, and that speaks to the quality of the little swimmers. My ducks are happy so I am too.

Good quality
I got these to add variety to my chickens diet. They shipped within a reasonable timeframe and the product is attractively and professionally packaged. The bag includes a ziplock top for easy use and storage. When you open the bag, they have a strong odor that isn’t harmonious with my preferred scent profile. The crickets are large and very dry-the largest dried product my flock has ever eaten, in fact. They assembled and pecked at them enthusiastically, as they do with literally anything I sprinkle on the ground for them. Because the crickets are large and dry, they had to peck at them to break them in pieces before consuming. The chickens did not perish. The product itself seems to be of good quality- I am just not 100% sure it will be a permanent addition to my flock’s diet.
