What to do if the APP can’t find the light when connecting the light with the TUYA APP for the first time?
When using the TUYA APP to connect the light for the first time, if the light cannot be found, it may be because the permission of the “Nearby Devices” is not turned on.After clicking “Add Device”, Please allow “Nearby Devices” permission and then reset the light (plug and unplug the light three times) to see if the TUYA APP can find the light.
After plugging and unplugging the power supply for 3 times, it may take a few seconds for the light to flicker or not flicker, but by this time the light can be found by TUYA APP.

Great value, Makes Plants Happy.
App is a little annoying and finicky, but the light is great. Powerful enough to keep even our red plants happy, adjustable enough to keep algae at bay. Running this on a 14 gallon cube. Accidentally dunked the light in the tank a couple months ago, twice…about a week apart. Dried it carefully and is still working well, thankfully. For the price, I’d highly recommend.

Super disappointed
Beware the app doesn’t work even if you leave app open with blue tooth and location on. This light decides to come on at 4:00 a.m. at its brightest every morning instead of what the app is set to do. I have to buy a new light because I need the automation or for it to be turned off at some point.

Good bright light upgrade
I bought this light to upgrade my 40 gallon planted tank. Itâs a great upgrade! The light is bright enough to light the tank from front to back. The previous light was too narrow and dim. I like the app. You have to upgrade the firmware on the lamp when you first connect it. I think that is why some may be having an issue with the app. Also I at first downloaded the wrong Tuya app so be aware that there another app. You want the Tuya smart app. All said I think this is a pretty good light. Itâs growing my plants great!

Power button shocked my finger and stopped working less than 3 months
Still trying to get Hygger to respond to email trying to get service under 1 year warranty. After less than 3 months use, the power button shocked my finger and all controls stopped working. The light is permantly on at 10% brightness and must be unplugged to turn it off. Tuya app and manual buttons no longer work to control it. I wish Hygger would respond to my warranty coverage request email. Tried their phone number and it is impossible to get anything but a busy signal. So far, this light by Hygger is something I can not recommend. If I get warranty service, I will update this review.

I Got This Specifically To Test WITHOUT Smart App- I Really Like This So Far (UPDATED w APP Info)
EDIT FEB 14 2023I have decided to use the app due to the light having to be adjusted brightness wise daily without the app. I am using the sunrise/sunset setting and I really love it. I had an extra phone I can not use with the towers anymore, and it works great for the light app. Just be sure your location is turned on and permissions for devices in the area and Bluetooth are enabled. This was easy, no issues at all in setting up. You can even do two custom settings if you want. If the power is out, it returns to the settings in an hour when returned. I am very excited about this light with the app and will buy another when needed for,other tank.—————-(UPDATE- I have liked this light so much, I got some neons to put in this tank. I will try to get a photo for you of them. They really look beautiful in this light. This brings out their color better than any other light that I own for smaller tanks in the 3-5 gallon range. I like this so much that I am tempted to replace another light with this one. They have been active since the light has been set up. The plants are growing well and are very green. The appearance is beautiful.THE BOTTOM LINESo, you might want the app to run this light which is what its feature is, but I prefer using it without the app and a timer to turn it off at night. You can also turn it off manually if you don’t want to use a timer.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. I love the appearance of this light. It really is beautiful, brings out all of the colors and the shrimp all have become very active since I have replaced with this light, despite my previous light being a fantastic full spectrum florescent twist.

Has a good range of lighting from 3000-6000k and fully adjustable with app. But the app is its downfall, the app takes awhile before it comes on to link. If it even links. Crossing fingers that this app doesnât fail. Timer feature doesnât WORK!! So maybe I should give 2 stars but I like the adjustability of the light tones
