Out of the box it wasn’t working I was concerned that the lamp had been damaged in transit but as it turns out whoever put the light in put it in backwards. Once I got it turns around worked like a charm. I’m using this for a paludarium for white tree frogs and it is the perfect size with plenty of space on each side on the top of the enclosure. (Enclosure is 18inch wide) easy to change the bulb but you do need to be gentle so you don’t damage the prongs.

I give this product a 4/5 because Iâve had to replace the unit about a year after purchase. Other than that the light works great for my turtle tank.

UV hood works great
Have had mine for about six months now and I haven’t had any issues with it. it lights up a good 1/3 or slightly more of the terrarium I have without taking up too much space that the heat lamps use.

Fixture broken only comes on full strength sometimes
It comes on very very dull, then when I set it down it came on full bright, then later when I turned it on it didn’t work at all. then a light tap and it came on very dull. Seems like a loose connection in the ballast, poor quality. Wasted money because I didn’t keep the box to return it.

Excellent product at a good price. Shipping was a disappointment.
Got this for my Chameleon and it is exactly what I expected, fits great and worked perfectly. Excellent price. My only complaint is it shipping USPS which made it arrive a day late because postal person would not deliver to apartment door so had to drive to post office and wait in line to get my order this was very irritating.

We had the dome set up for UV and found out after purchasing our starter kit that it wasnât ideal for our beardie. We ordered this one and it has been good so far. Sometimes it shuts off/flickers and you have to tap it so it will turn back on but it could be the bulb and these kinds of bulbs can be like that. It works for us for what we need.Update Aug/2024: Light continued to flicker more and more and we always had to be moving it around and wiggling the lightbulb to get it back on. Eventually is stopped working all together (purchase March 31/24). Ordered two more lightbulbs to see if it was the bulb and neither of them worked – submitted for return for the bulbs but we are outside of the return window. I will be heading in to a local pet store to see if we can get something set up today for our little guy.
