Superior product – CLEARED my aquarium water within days
My aquarium has 12 goldfish ( fancy ) and a few pleco’s. I have a very nice filter, but I could not get the water to clear up. Read about this product and within a few days, this substrate made a massive change – clearing up the cloudy-ness and now it is crystal clear. Buying a second because I LOVE the look of solid black substrate.

Perfect
Be patient! It will settle overnight. My first review was very bad because it was super cloudy but I did a water change and treated my water again and this morning it is perfectly clear and I donât even think itâs been 16 hours. Will purchase again! Plant tank nursery only, no pets in my tank.

Black hasnât faded!
Iâve had this in my aquarium for about 2 years now & it still works great & looks great! I ended up getting the black and it hasnât faded any despite being in sunlight! My tank sits in front of a window to help natural algae growth for my bottom feeders!

Amazing results
This subtrate is well worth the money.. we are using in a tropical tank with live plants 𪴠and it works amazing.. our baby fish love to hide in the small ruts that our bottom feeders make, well worth the money..

Great but not instant
This sand looks great, but it doesn’t instant cycle the tank. at least not in my case with a 10 gallon tank and 10 pounds of this sand. ammonia level just sat there for 2 days before I decided to put in liquid starter bacteria.

I used this in my 2G nano tank. It was cloudy at first, but was cleared up in less than 24 hours. The black substrate has a sparkle to it and highlights my bloody mary shrimp and chili rasboras.

Looks great, I can’t speak on the biological factor because I’m currently cycling my tank however the sand looks great. It does come wet so I am assuming there are beneficial bacteria in there somewhere which is always beneficial to have.

I had built a carpet using the soil.It comes in moist form.Placed it in the empty tank.Sprinkled seed for carpet and ensured for the next 15-20 days that the soil stayed moist.Once the carpet was ready I had my betta moved. This is how it looks. Betta is loving it too.Very satisfied!
