Good Incubator at a Great Price
This is my Amazon Vine review for the NWH 12 Egg Incubator with Temperature and Humidity Control, Adjustable Turning Time, Automatic Dual Water Bottle Refill, Candling Light, Air Vent, Incubators for Hatching Eggs, Chicken, Ducks, Goose.First, I tried to actually hatch chicks for this review, but due to no fault of this incubator but rather the age of my hens, I only had five eggs to use for this review, and none were fertile. We have a rooster, but I guess he is on hiatus too.What I can confirm and show in video based on the eggs I have previously hatched in my other incubator is, in my opinion, this 12 Egg Incubator is a good incubator. I write this based on these factors. The plastic cover is not light weight or cheaply made. It is hefty and fits tightly on the bottom. That seal matters because it helps maintain the temp and humidity. And most importantly, the incubator itself maintains the idea temperature, the range of humidity for hatching chicks, and it fully turns the eggs every few hours just as our Silkie and Jersey Giant hens do.What has worked well for hatching chicks in an incubator for us is 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit temp or 37.5 degrees Celsius with a humidity close to 55 from 53 to 57. Maintaining that until the last few days and increasing the humidity to about 65 was our hatchery success.I hope showing how this incubator turns eggs fully helps. It turns them fully every few hours and maintains the correct temperature and good humidity. I think this is a good quality incubator at a very reasonable price of $39.99. Thanks, Amazon.
