Great Cooking Tool and Very Accurate
Iâve been cooking on my griddle a lot more lately and finally got down to buying an infrared thermometer. This one looked like a good one and the price was reasonable, so I took a chance. Its functionality is simple, literally just point and pull the trigger and the accuracy is spot on. When I first tried it on my griddle, I thought it was way off because it was measuring really high but then I realized I had to give the griddle a few minutes to settle in just like any oven or smoker. After about 15 min, the temp was perfect. The thermometer uses 2 AAA batteries which are included, has a laser and comes with a nice hard shell carrying case. Overall, this was a great purchase and I see myself using it a lot to improve my cooking. Thanks!

Temp Gun
Product was exactly as described: fast reading of temperature and accurate. LCD backlight is very clear and bright, even in low light conditions. But not too bright that it strains your eyes when looking at it.I like the compact, ergonomic feel. Very simple to use. Press and point at the object you are wanting to temp. I like that the gun holds the temperature for a while after you let go of the trigger. This gives you ample time to observe the temperature and not have to try to remember the temperature.This temp gun is fairly accurate. I tested it on boiling water against my trustworthy instant read thermometer. My instant read thermometer read 212.4 F compared to this gun which read 211.8 F. I then tested the other side of the temperature spectrum. I placed chunks of ice in a cup and tested the temperature. The instant read thermometer read 33.4 F compared to this gun which read 32.9 F.The best part is that this comes with a nice case to protect the temp gun.Shipping was very fast! I received it within two days of ordering.

This thing is a game changer. I’ve always used probe style thermometers which did the job but was a bit cumbersome when it came to parts, set up, cleaning, etc. Figured I’d try this infrared gun and I’m blown away. Kind of annoyed I didn’t think to use this until now…Right out of the box, it’s ready to use. Insert the 2 included batteries, aim, and pull the trigger. Literally, that’s all you need to do. The temperature readings are accurate and the display and menu options are very clear to read.It’s a very simple yet effective tool to add to your cooking/BBQ setup. No need to insert probes, add more things to clean, or risk burning yourself anymore. I definitely recommend this.

Feels like a toy.
It works. It’s just made of the cheapest material and I can understand that. It doesn’t read accurately unless you’re not more than 2 feet from point of contact. Great starter tool for sure. And the price was right

Great Infrared Thermometer
Iâve owned several infrared thermometers over the years. I decided to pick up a new one because even though I use mine all the time, my kids use it even more and it tends to disappear. Now we can each have one. If youâre new to using these, you may, like me, start using it for cooking, and it works extremely well for this. But soon come up with tons of other uses for them. As Iâve gotten older, Iâve come to realize that you can actually use one of these instead of touching something to see how hot it is. Shocker, I know!This unit is just as good as any that Iâve used in the past and is more convenient in some ways. The readouts are fast and accurate. The design is intuitive and easy to use. Itâs smaller than most of the other infrared thermometers that Iâve used, but the display is still bright and very easy to read. If taking up space is a concern, this unit would be preferable to other larger sized thermometers. It also comes with a nice carrying case which aids in portability.Update: after several weeks of use, I’m happy to say that this unit has made it’s way into my BBQ bag that I use each time I cook outdoors. It’s so handy for quickly checking temps. The size and portability have made it the perfect addition to my BBQ bag and I foresee it getting tons of use in the future.

Great temperature sensor – as accurate as more expensive models, but with a better display
Great remote thermometer! Want to check the accuracy of your oven temp? Just preheat a pan in the oven, then use then point the sensor at it and see how close it is to the oven setting (mine was within 4°F). Use it to check the effectiveness of your HVAC system by pointing at a duct register. I also compared it to a more expensive model that I have, and while the functionality and accuracy are the same, the Onni brand tool has a much brighter and easier to read display.

Nice thermometer
The infrared Tlthermometer is really nice! This thermometer is easy to use, and it works really well. This thermometer is easy to set up. All you have to do is open up the font handle, insert the included AAA batteries, and then close the handle and itâs ready to use. To use the thermometer, all you have to do is point it at what you want to take the surface temperature of and pull the trigger. The display is easy to read, and has an optional backlight. There a couple options that you can change on the thermometer. You can switch from F to C, turn the laser on or off. The temperature is held after you release the trigger, which is nice. The thermometer also automatically shuts off on its own. I personally like to use the laser so I know exactly what Iâm getting the temperature of. It comes with a nice case, so storage isn’t an issue. All in all, it’s a really nice thermometer! Itâs very easy to use and it works really well! I would absolutely recommend it!
