This product is too heavy AND while trying to remove it the metal was very difficult to bend to take off. Once off my birds flesh was rubbed off. DO NOT BUY

The #15 size leg ring is too large for a Triton cockatoo.
Leg rings need to be well-fitting not to injure the bird if they fly and are suddenly jerked to a stop. Despite the posted recommendations for the product use, I found the #15 leg rings too loose for a Trition Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. I am thinking of adding a layer of padding around the bird’s leg to protect her from the metal ring. While the product includes 10 rings, they are all the same size rather than providing an assortment of sizes. It is hard to estimate the correct size, so an assortment makes sense. I invested in a coiled leash to spring load the sudden stop of my flying parrot. I feared the velvet leg hold product would tear out so metal is safer but must be used with a leash that prevents injury.
