Good test kit
Easy multi step test. Takes about 10 minutes to do. Can test accuracy on test water sample they send with kit. Don’t dose anything you can’t measure. Used distilled water to make required solution. RO water may not work.

Very misleading and doesn’t work the majority of the time
This test is extremely frustrating. I make the reagent 2 follow the directions entirely and expect to be able to use it for the 3 to 4 hours per the directions. I’ll test my sample and it seems to be “working”. I then add my iodine supplement and let it circulate for 30 minutes. When I go to test another sample it does not react. I ensure to shake reagent 2 but the 2 drops do not cause the test to turn blue at all. I dont understand how this doesnt work the 2nd time around when the directions clearly state good for 3 to 4 hours. Am I expect to make a batch every test and wait the 5 minutes? Look for a new test.

Not the easiest test to perform. but if you can read, you should have no problem getting “dead on balls accurate” results. definitely worth the savings compared to a salifert test kit, there are just a few extra steps involved.

Difficult to get an accurate reading
First test kit received I could not get the reference solution to read anything at all. Emailed the manufacturer and received a new kit. Second kit would register the reference solution ok. But the color peaks a lot quicker than the instructions indicate so not really sure what the actual reading is. But gets you in the ballpark.

Junk!!
Unclear instructions very complicated to use searched the internet for hours looking for a how to do video. There is none better be a chemist major to figure out this test. Gave up and throw away in the trash save your money look else where for better testing solutions. These water testing company’s really need to make how to do videos, not everyone starts out as a pro coral reef specialist. Instructions are worthless!!

Kit expired
The kit I received from Amazon did not work, even the reference did not present any color during testing. Perhaps the reagents expired. I emailed Seachem support and they sent me a new one that worked as described. The color intensity seems inconsistent and there is only a short window of time to do the reading. I test with the reference sample every time which limits the amount of tests I can do if I want any amount of resolution beyond present vs not present. The test is fairly straightforward, but *requires* RODI or distilled water. It takes 5 min to wait for the prepared reagent to âactivateâ, but otherwise the testing is very quick. Mix the powder reagent with your water and then mix in the prepared liquid reagent, read the color change.

Das Testkit geht zurück an den Absender.

Llevo muchos años haciendo test para mi acuario marino, soy meticuloso en los pasos , pero no funciona , no sólo no mide connorecusión , directamente no reacciona ni siquiera con el aditivo dd iodo para el acuario
