Really fantastic for what it is!
Itâs an evaporation based fan and for what it is- itâs fantastic! Iâve had others that are similar and genuinely do nothing. This is wonderful for small spaces. Iâve used it car camping and it gets the job done. The light is pretty too! Not to mention I put it right next to where I am sleeping and it really does a great job making my skin feel great the next morning. I really am happy with this purchase. Itâs not going to cool your whole house- itâs not meant to. For tight spaces and camping situations especially, itâs even better than I had expected.

Not as Great as I Thought
I am glad that I did not write my review before now! I bought this in mid-June and have used it every night since then. A little over a week ago, my HVAC went out. I live in Oregon, where we have been having some very hot weather. Like all the other fans I have, this little cooler has been on 24/7.In the beginning, I thought this Portable Air Conditioner was terrific. I have it next to my bed, and it has effectively cooled down my personal space. I believe that the misting feature makes a huge difference. Unfortunately, it has stopped misting at about the same time my HVAC went out. The fan by itself makes a nice breeze, but not nearly as cooling as when the Misters worked.As I recall, the User Guide is very small, and I have been unable to locate it. I have been online looking for a manual to download. AMAZON shows the model as “ET08”, the package shows “CF-531”, which has made my search a challenge. Finally, I located a manual for the “ET08” unit.That manual says to descale the ultrasonic nozzles monthly. However, the manual does not indicate which type of vinegar to use, the water-to-vinegar ratio, or how to empty the water reservoir. I suppose that means I have to figure the rest out for myself. I don’t like guessing, so I gave a lower rating than I would have when it worked.

Not a real swamp cooler, it won’t blow cold air. It’s a fan with a mister instead.
This is advertised as a mini swamp cooler. It is not a real swamp cooler. It is a fan that blows mist into the blown air stream. Swamp coolers soak and or saturate a grid with water, placed in front of or behind the fan, that the fan moves air past, and in doing so the water sits there gaining energy from the air until it has enough energy added to it to evaporate away. Blowing a small bit of mist in front of the air stream is only going to get like 1/50th the amount of evaporative cooling potential as real coolers that use the grid, while using up water way too fast and adding humidity too quickly to the room. (Unless that is what you are going for). I tested this one and with the mist turned on it is hardly any colder than just with the fan blowing alone, no mist added. Most portable ACs advertised on Amazon here are similar to this model, where the jets blow mist into the air stream, but these are not real swamp coolers. How you can tell the difference when researching is by looking for the circular metal jets that appear in front of the face plate, at the top or bottom usually. The ones that have those circular metal jets are misters and not swamp coolers. The ones that are real swamp coolers, when researching closely, will show that there is a filter which absorbs water which sits in front of or behind the fan, and those are real swamp coolers. Check the video reviews the products have to get a look at the insides of the machine you are researching to see if it has the real grid filter, or if it is just a mister. I like this little fan
It’s a great little fan to have directly on you. It’s not going to cool a room by any means. But it does get extra points because I accidently washed the remote in my sheets and it survived and that’s pretty fantastic. It really did make the bad summer days much more tolerable and so I’m happy with it. It’s by no means a room AC. The timer is super handy too.

Perfect for Small Spaces
I ordered this air cooler for my husband, a truck driver, and he uses it every night in the cab of the truck. It has worked wonders for him! It’s ideal for small spaces and provides a cool feeling without having to turn on the truck’s air conditioning.When you add ice water, the air that comes out is truly refreshing. The humidifier mode has also been helpful in relieving dry air.The water tank is easy to fill from the top and has a level indicator, which is very practical. It also includes a remote control, making it more comfortable to use, especially inside the truck when he’s already lying down.It also has lights that serve as a night light, and the best part is that it’s very quiet, so it doesn’t interfere with his rest.Keep in mind that this is a personal cooler, not for cooling an entire room, but it’s perfect for small spaces.

Good cooling, personal size and portable.
This fan works extremely well. Having the mister feature makes a big difference. It is a personal size so you can use it wherever you can plug it in. I have used it with temperatures in the upper 80s with out needing to turn on the AC. But that may be just me.

Great for cooling small spaces
love this product â itâs been a huge help with hot flashes! Itâs easy to use, cools the air quickly, and I like that itâs lightweight enough to move from room to room. Just note that itâs best for smaller spaces, not large rooms. My only complaint is the blue light that stays on during operation, which can be a bit annoying when trying to sleep.

Was doing all right at first. I live in extreme heat conditions due to my studio being on the top floor of the building I live in and temperatures reach up to almost 100°F so I understand this is not the single cooling element thatâs going to save me from cooking here. However, after not even a period of two months the power connector just broke as seen in the pictures. I had spent what for me is a considerable amount of money on this (over $150) and since returns are only for 30 days I cannot do anything now and Iâm still stuck with incredible heat that I have no immediate solution for as I spent all my saved up money on this product, which I thought to be of good quality.
