very good heat lamp. Can use a variety of bulbs, including ceramic.
This heat lamp works really well! I purchased a ceramic bulb to go along with it for my russian tortious. We also have a clip on UVA lamp that mimics sunlight, but we need this for the heat bulbs, especially as it gets colder outside.My tortoise is way more active when we have the heat lamp on. She enjoys basking under it. It does get a little warm to the touch, but not at a dangerous temperature. I think it will hold up for a long time. It is a great value, because you can use different types of bulbs. I like the ceramic bulb, but I could also use the red bulbs if I wanted.It was easy to clip onto the cage. It doesn’t take up much room or interfere with the other lamp. The power switch is in a good position where its very easy to turn on and off as needed. I will probably hook it up to a smart plug so I don’t have to remember to switch it on and off every day, since its best to only have on for 12 hours at a time.

Great Light Fixture
Lightweight but solid build. This light housing fits both heat and ceramic bulbs perfectly. The on/off switch is super handy, and the hanger feels sturdy. Overall, a well-made, reliable heat lamp fixture for any terrarium setup.

Perfect amount of heat for basking
Heat lamp for reptile tanks. Uses ceramic heat emitters that provide up to 200W of heat. The ideal heat lamp for bearded dragons, turtles, snakes and lizards. We personally use ours for our turtle tank that provides him with the perfect heat to bask safely. The lamp is compatible with most universal reptile bulbs. Its heavy duty, super easy to set up and resistant to the strong heat that it puts out. The best feature in my opinion is the safety certified power cord that comes with it.

Great for my tortoise habitat
I got this to hold a heat bulb over my russian tortoise’s enclosure. It’s a nice size and fits a standard.Heat fold with no issues. The dome directs the light and makes it warm in the area where the light is cast. I like that it comes with the hook so that I can hang it over the habitat, rather than to have it sitting on the mesh. It allows for the habitat to not get too hot for my tortoise. The construction of the dome feels durable and I don’t see why this wouldn’t last for a very long time. Overall, i’m happy with it.And think it’s gonna be a great asset once fall and winter arrive.

Exactly what it says
This lamp dome matches the measurements given and works well. I hooked it up to a thermostat for safety but other than that it was set and forget. It can handle the bulbs I use with ease and I haven’t noticed any overheating or other problems. It seems like it will last a long time.

Dome fixture worked with my bulb
This fixture is well made. Itâs a basic design but itâs highly functional. My lightbulb screwed in perfectly and worked just as I had hoped. My bulb and this fixture are different brands. But the bulb was supposed to be compatible and it is. There is an easy switch to control the on/off without having to unplug it. The dome is an excellent size and it helps with the reflection. I would recommend this dome fixture.
