    IT’S GOOD
I needed some extra soil for a couple of areas in my backyard that are sinking. My handyman neighbor said that I didn’t need to lift the grass and put the soil underneath; I could just put it on top and the grass would grow right through it. I researched that, and sure enough if you add 1/2” of soil and repeat every 2 weeks, eventually your dip will level out.So I’ve been ordering these bricks so I could gradually add soil to my lawn in those two spots without overwhelming the grass. They fluff up nicely when water is added, but give it time. They’re basically like those small round pellets that come in children’s kits, just larger. Expect it to make an enormous quantity! I used a large tub and had to add water twice. I checked on it 2 or 3 times and hacked around at it a bit with a garden tool. It really made an enormous quantity.Good quality stuff, whatever your purpose!

Great to use for Houseplant substrate addtion.
I bought this for adding to my soil for my houseplants. comes in a compressed brick so has to be put in a bucket or area with water to break apart and expand. DO NOT put in your sink like I did, lol stuff goes everywhere and I’m just waiting on a clogged pipe. But good use for planting if your into trying to get the most natural type of planting substrate for your plants.

    Chunky coco coir
Love the chunks but the price was to high for that small amount.

    Good blend
Rehydrated well and made enough to be useful. Looks to be good quality. I really like the chips as opposed to the finer shred. I used for carnivorous plants as opposed to reptiles and it is working well.

    Great substrate chips
These coco chips are great substrate for millipedes, isopods, and frogs. This is a compressed brick and the package include directions on how to briefly soak them before using. It’s easy to peel off a layer of chips so you can use smaller amounts at a time. This is also good for including in houseplants as a chunky addition to the soil.

    Very small package
It’s a very small pack and it’s really hard to break apart. I was going to use this in my chickens nesting boxes but it’s not even worth it.

Slows evaporation, lots of other uses too
It’s so, so hot during the Texas summers and adding a layer of this mulch helps plants so much. Just one day without water can spell disaster for outdoor plants here, so I cover their soil with a layer of this material, and it makes a difference. Good product, myriad uses.

    Perfect for hermit crab
Perfect for my pet hermit crab. It loves it and it seems like it would be good for most exotic pets that need a coconut based substrate
