Product description
This is a clip designed specifically for the HG957 model, it will not fit other models of hygger series lights, nor other brands of lights.

Installation Steps 
1st step: Insert the metal pole into the metal clip and nail it tightly with 1 short screw.
2nd step: Slide the light into the extendable arm.
3rd step: Insert the extendable arm on top of the metal pole, and nail it tightly with 1 short screw.
4th step: Mount the metal clip on the tank wall and use 2 long screws to screw it tight.

Great for holding light up instead of directly on tank topsâ.
I have purchased two sets of these for the aquariums and I love them. I do use these on my rimmed tanks (55gallon, 36gallon bow front). They can be easily adjusted to desired height and can be adjusted towards the back of tank/ center/ or more forward. So they are fully adjustable. They can be iffy depending how your rim tank is and where you set them, but they do work . They also have some weight to them so Iâm assuming if by chance they do fell , I willl be finding light and these in the bottom of the tank! But so far weâve not had that happen!! I love them!!!

Works, but I would find a better quality alternative
I have the hg-957 light which this is made for⦠it holds the light but itâs super cheap. Even if the front to back adjustment is all the way in, it still allows the light to sag and sit very un level⦠the left to right level is good since that goes off of the height set⦠but when looking at the side of the tank the light leans down due to the quality of the mount itselfâ¦

Barely fits a rimmed tank with minor modifications
Overall the product works well and looks good. Price is right. I’m using two brackets for a 48″ wide tank. The clamps barely slide over the tank rim. Appx 1″ wide. Metal is thin and feels flimsy, but it works fine. Pretty happy.I did make some modifications to make an improvement. I moved the two mounting holes on each clamp down 10mm(drilled and tapped) and now the screws go onto the glass. The other thumb screws were pretty tight to turn, so I ran the tap thru the holes. The thumb screws now turn easily and still snug up. Tap/Thread is M8x1.25.

Fits other hygger strip lights w/ some diy
Out of the box these light holders didn’t fit my rimmed aquarium or my hygger HG129 light. All I needed to do to fit this to my version was unscrew the end cap on the opposite end of the cord. They slid right on and fit like they were made for it! To fit this to my rimmed aquarium, I retapped new M8-1.25 threads as another reviewer suggested.

A bit skeptical considering it’s a new product. I wish they would have emphasized that it was specifically meant for an hg 957 which is the only reason I give a 4. I bought the wrong light due to my own negligence. I went through a lot of hassle to get t just to find out it doesn’t work with these brackets. Luckily I have a 2nd tank I’m able to utilize it with but it wouldn’t have happened had they advertised better that it only holds one model of light. Well made product and lots of customization compared to others. Works perfectly when you got the proper light installed 😉
