Awesome dog grooming tool!
I was a long-haired dachshund breeder and had a terrible time with stickers and burrs from weeds getting caught up in my dog’s fur. I think I tried every product on the market.I was reluctant to try this because it looked like some kind of dog torture tool. But I had a gift certificate and nothing else was working, so I got it.It takes a little while to get used to it but once you figure out the technique (which may vary from dog to dog), this tool is awesome!What really surprised me was that my dogs love it! (Again, once I figured out how to use it properly.)Do’s & Don’ts:Don’t:s* This tool is hefty. Don’t let its weight fall on your dog.* Don’t be forceful with it. Its blades are sharp and can hurt your dog by pulling hair or gouging skin.* Don’t be in a hurry. Make this a pleasant experience for both of you. If you hit a snag, back it out and work it more towards the end of the hair.* Don’t overwork an area on your dog. Too much of anything can be annoying. Try a different area if one is taking longer to remove the matted fur, stickers, etc. Sometimes I wind up doing half or a quarter of a dog because of an especially bad hair day.Do’s:* Gently rest the tool on your pet. Gravity will usually be about the right pressure. Just gently hold the handle with your fingertips.* Drag it slowly. It will take several strokes in the same area to work its way down.* This will remove an enormous amount of dead hair. Keep the blades from clogging by frequently removing the hair it collects from the blades.* Big/little blades. Experiment using both sides. Different areas and different dogs you may find work better.* Start at the end of the hair and work your way towards the roots. This works best for me to remove burrs, stickers, and matted fur. If this tool won’t fix that spot, it’s usually time to snip that area with clippers or scissors. But use blunt point scissors!* If your dog is apprehensive, use both hands. Use one to drag the tool and the other to pet your dog. Use about the same pressure and speed with both hands.Finally, hands down, this is the best dog grooming tool ever!

Works great for long haired cats
This product works great for long haired cats that can experience matting or need grooming often. The two sides have different brush sizes & both are sharp enough to make excess fur removal easy in different spots and on different breeds all while feeling better for your furry companions because it safely trims underneath instead of only pulling like brushing/combing. The handle is also fantastic; using a gel like grip that forms to hand nicely aiding in ease of use

Iâm really happy with this! It works great for brushing through her coat after Iâve tackled the mats with a stronger detangling tool. While it wasnât quite strong enough to remove heavy mats on its own, it glides over smoothly which is great for finishing up. Recommend for daily grooming or post-matting care!

Doesnât hurt sensitive skin.
Iâve finally found the perfect brush for my five year old German shepherd who has sensitive skin. Furminator too sharp. This brush is rounded on teeth. Very good at getting her undercoat out. Very comfortable for my 82 year old hands. So glad I decided to buy this brush.

Groomer’s technique vs dog/cat sensitive skin.
The product delivers. It is effective. However, I’m not sure if my technique is poor or my cat is sensitive but he was traumatized by the experience and I ended with my hands and arms looking like I had been attacked by a bear. He looks great and is clean but it has taken a couple of days for him to approach me without reservation. I’m not sure if I will use it again.

Absolutely amazing!
If I could give this more than five stars, I would. First, I thank the other reviewers for their usage tips. They were helpful! We have two short-haired country stray kitties, and one of them has a very thick white undercoat. It’s constantly oily and sometimes gets matted and flakey. I know it bothers her. It can change her whole personality. Rigorous scratchies with our fingers help, and she always gives a lot up when I brush her, but she also constantly sheds. And she developed a big mat that I couldn’t work out. This little tool arrived, and she came running! I couldn’t believe how much came away in the first swipe or two. I could even feel where the thickest of her undercoat is just by the resistance against the comb. After a bit of working, the clump came right out, too! She was so happy! She normally hates brushings, but she stayed for a long time. She even let me brush her all around the tail area, and she usually never allows that. I just ordered another one for my sister for her longhaired kitty. So grateful!

Works great at collecting fur from both my long-haired cat and my short-haired dog. Doesn’t get the mats out of my cat, but I attribute that more to her long, fine fur than I do the brush (my previous, similar brush didn’t do a thing for mats, either; scissors are the only way to remove them). The fur-eject feature is nice, though not really necessary; it’s pretty easy to pull hair off a brush. But overall the brush works well, the handle is squishy-comfy, and I’d definitely recommend this product if you need a brush for your furry friend.
