This shearer is the first I have owned that with cut schnoodle hair without repeatedly snagging!
I have purchased and used five different brands of electric grooming shears on our schnoodle, (1/2 schnauzer + 1/2 poodle), dog. This is the first that does not cause more problems than it solves! This shearer is the quietest by far, which has been really helpful for my use case. When using other shearers in the past, previous haircuts have caused painful hair snagging for my dog. Because of that, at hair-cutting time my dog is very skittish when haircuts begin. I am hoping that changes, because so far this shearer is not causing any painful hair pulling for my best friend.This device runs quiet, and it cuts fast. I can get through a haircut in a short amount of time now, so I am not having any issues with this shearer getting too hot, as it cuts so efficiently that I am just not using it for that much time to get the job done. The long cord takes the need for an extension cord away, and the rheostat control is a nice feature that I didn’t know I had needed until now – delicate areas around the tenders can be cut at a safer, lower power setting, which I am assuming my dog appreciates. The set comes with a spare blade set and two double-ended limit combs, which may be a little tricky to install if you have old hands like mine. The power button only requires a light slide of the hand to press.I am baffled by the low price on this high value shearing set, of less than $25, at the time of my review. I would gladly have paid twice as much, just to make grooming time time easier for my dog, and easier for me!

Easy to use at home
I bought this clipper hoping to do light trimming at home. The size is compact and comfortable, and I really like the wooden handle. It feels balanced and easy to control, especially around tricky spots like the paws or under the chin. The power is impressive for something this small, and the motor runs steadily without sudden jumps.When I used it last weekend, I started with the slower setting because I wasnât sure how my dogs would react to the sound. The noise level is not too loud and they stayed calm the whole time. The cut was clean, and the blades didnât pull the fur. I ran it several times over the same area to get an even look, and the finish came out smooth. It does warm up slightly after longer use, but thatâs normal for a long used clipper. I just pause for a minute and let it rest. Cleaning it afterward is simple, and I appreciate that the blades come with covers and a little storage box for everything.

Good quality good grooming tool
I ordered this grooming clipper mainly for trimming our dog’s feet and face area between full grooming visits. The set arrived in a little plastic box with a carrying handle, which makes it easy to store with the rest of our pet supplies.
