It works!!
****PLEASE READ IF SKEPTICAL!!*****This product is awesome!!! I canât believe the luck I had. I have been feeding this stray cat every single day from the month of October (6 months now) he began to recognize me and my voice and would come close to me but still skeptical of letting me even lightly pet him. Iâve tried luring him inside him food, etc. I bought him a shelter house in the woods for the winter, but was still nervous of his survival due to the bad weather, as I really care about him. I was getting desperate and new I had to do something sooner than later if I wanted to save him. This cat trap was listed as best seller and one of the cheaper ones as well. I bought it hoping for the best as I noticed the reviews are pretty 50/50 – people either said it was faulty / didnât work at all or people either praised about it, no in between really. I payed for two day shipping and it came the very next day which was super convenient. Anyways, IT WORKED THE VERY FIRST TIME / TRY!!!! I couldnât believe it, I feel like an idiot for not doing this months ago. Iâm not a builder at all and it was super easy to set up, instructions are very understanding, the video tutorial on here is even more helpful took longer to build for me then it did to catch him!!! I met him outside like I do every night for his feeding, I set the cage down in the distance with a can of tuna inside and I put wet cat food in the entrance of the cage throughout , as well as on the trap pad to lure him more easily which really helped him be less scared to go inside. I walked away several feet and watched – in less than five minutes he was inside eating around the trap and eventually triggered it. I could not believe how easy and fast it worked. It was incredibly successful as I was nervous from people saying this trap is cheap and animals frequently escape.. which I want to speak on. ***READ HERE**** This trap does 100% work, clearly. I think itâs suffice enough to get the job done without spending $$$. BUT I WILL SAY, there is minor errors. When the front door is locked, there is slight gaps in the corner. As I was carrying the cat inside holding the cage, he was trying to escape through these gaps, he was managing to nearly get his whole head out (about up to his hears) I noticed this and kept calm, I slid the cage up so it would push him back which helped. ****DISCLAIMER**** I would not depend on this cage to use overnight to catch, because the animal more than likely wouldnât be there in the morning. I would not leave unattended during catch, be on stand by and act fast to bring cage to designated area. Although painful, a scared / angry cat or critter could definitely navigate out of the cage if it really tried and especially had the time. Overall, for what itâs worth the cage is pretty sturdy. If your second guessing this purchase I say buy it!!!! Give it a try, test your luck you may be surprised like me. It doesnât hurtâ¦now Mr.Kitty is safe 🙂 I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!

Effective and humane trap
âââââ Effective and humane trap â sturdy and easy to use!I purchased the SZHLUX 32″ live animal cage trap to safely catch some raccoons and stray cats around my property, and itâs been working really well.Pros:Heavy duty and durable: The metal construction feels strong and well-made, perfect for catching medium-sized animals without bending or breaking.Humane catch-and-release: The cage is designed to trap animals without harming them, which is exactly what I wanted.Folding design: Easy to fold and store when not in use, plus lightweight enough to carry around.Trigger mechanism works well: The trap triggers reliably when the animal steps inside.Versatile: Great for raccoons, cats, squirrels, skunks, and other similar animals.Cons:Some patience required: Depending on the animal, it can take a few tries and some bait experimentation to get them inside.Size limitation: While good for medium-sized animals, itâs too small for larger wildlife. No bait included: You have to provide your own bait, so keep that in mind.Overall, this trap is a solid choice if you want a humane, effective way to catch and relocate unwanted animals safely. Highly recommend for homeowners dealing with nuisance wildlife!

Works Well but Bigger Than Expected
The trap is sturdy and effective, easy to set up and humane for catch and release. However, itâs larger than I expected, which makes it a bit bulky to handle. Still a good option if you need a heavy-duty trap.

Great Trap, but There’s One Issue
OK, I’ve been battling Coons on my roof, as I’ve got a wooded double lot. For a while I used a Pest Control Company, but the cost eventually led to my purchasing my own Trap. This is nearly identical to his Pro Trap, with two key differences: 1) The wire for the cage is definitely a smaller gage than the Pro Trap. It’s still strong enough, but because it’s flimsy that leads to point #2: 2) The one issue that’s a problem is that the Pro Trap had a Vertical Sliding Panel for the “Release Door” (opposite the sping loaded Trap Door), whereas this Trap has a Hinged Door. The Pro Trap could use the Vertical Sliding Panel because the trap was so much more robust and rigid. Sounds minor but it’s not. Due to the lighted gauge, the Hinged Door is locked into place with what they call “Fixing Clips” (#9 on their sketch). When you have an angry and biting animal in the cage, it’s nearly impossible to get the Hinged Door released from the Fixing Clips. Even when you do, it’s hard to control the release of the animal when you’re a safe distance away from the trap (In the case of the Pro Trap, you can clip a rope onto the top of the Vertical Sliding Panel, and raise it from a distance). Would I buy it again ? No, I’d pay more money for the Pro Trap.

cat distribution center gave me a bonus cat
TLDR: works! i got 2 cars to prove it!originally got this to catch an orange male stray that we fed. guess he lured his sister into the trap one night.. didnât know she existed for all the months of feeding this guy. brought her in, and reset the trap – but didnât think the orange guy would go for it since he knew it was a trap. an hour later⦠heâs sitting in there calmly ready to be taken in.oh, and i caught an opossum⦠which was not our goal lol, but i was able to hold the door open for him as he climbed out slowly and then ran off.

Good enough for the price
I’m surprised at how expensive these types of traps are. I went with this one because of the cheaper price — though it still seems a bit pricey to me. Even so, it seems to work as advertised and while it’s not particularly robust, it does the trick on small to medium-sized rodents. It’s easy and quick to assemble and set. The only issue I had is that the gaps in the wiring in the area where the trigger is set are small and it was a little difficult get my fingers through to set the trip hook as needed. But with a bit of tenacity and fiddling, I was able to get it done.
