Nice Basic Feeder
A good basic feeder. I like that the squirrels canât empty it as easily as others Iâve had. The top also fastens down nicely. And it was reasonably priced. This company is very responsive to its customers, too.

Compact and good quality; narrow perch
Looks like a solid product; itâs compact and holds a good deal of sunflower seed. It has a clasp at the top that helps keep the lid secured, which is great. Only downside I see so far is the very narrow perch. Iâm watching the first bird access the feeder now and they are struggling mightily to stay on while eating. And this is a finch. Now sure how my larger cardinals and woodpeckers are going to fare. Plus, itâs such a short feeder that I already anticipate the hairy and downy woodpeckers wonât be able to feed the way they did with my older, taller version, by clinging to the mesh wire.

Sorry! Not so great.
Itâs smaller than our other tubular mesh feeders. Thatâs on me. But it doesnât hold as much as weâd like. And the cap on top falls off if (for example) a squirrel knocks the thing to the ground.Unfortunately, because the feeder is so squat, our sweet Downy woodpeckers, who surprisingly enjoy pecking at the wire mesh and getting sunflower seeds from it, canât FIT on this feeder!! Their little tail hits the perch at the bottom. Sad to see.Otherwise, itâs ok.

For seeds, Not cake cylinders! Love It!
This bird feeder is: beautiful, well built, easy to fill, and the size is perfect! Although it looks like it is designed for the cake cylinders it can only be filled from the top! It appears to be powder coated, making it rust resistant! It gave me something to put that Giant bag of seeds into!!!

I use suet pellets in this. It’s very sturdy,works well. Birds seem to like it

Lid cover lock not effective
I gave it 1star bcuz the “locking device” to hold the lid down is not tight, therefore it’s useless. Perhaps on most it works but not on mine. Ive purchased other birdfeeders w similar lock that are effective. Otherwise, feeder itself is of satisfactory quality
