Rob the âSchneiderâ skink approves.
So far the bulb is still going strong! Rob the Schneider skink doesnât seem to mind the different hue. Iâd say itâs pretty good quality thus far.

nice UVB light
I use it in addition to the heating lights for my uro’s UVB need.

Not warm in color or temp
Itâs definitely a great bulb for UV specifically but itâs such a dim and blue light that it looks more like moonlight compared to a normal daylight UV bulb (as you can see in the comparison photo I added). Iâll probably use this on a timer at dusk and dawn in my desert terrarium. However they make it seem like itâs a warm color hue light in the listing which is false advertising so Iâm docking a star. And idk why people are saying it warms their enclosures??? It literally doesnât heat up at all which is a good thing cuz thatâs not what I bought it for or what itâs advertised to do. I edited these pics to look as close as possible to real life so you get a good idea of what it looks like compared to a regular UV bulb and what that might look like for your reptilian or avian needs. Good luck!

LED UVB output seems OK for reptile use.
I was excited when I saw this as it was much lower cost and an LED bulb should have much better longevity (years vs months) than the Mercury Vapor heat/UVB bulbs we have been using and replacing for a few years. The LED UVB Reptile Light Bulb 10.0 3W came packed inside a box that was placed inside of a plane white box. The package was well designed to protect the bulb and aluminum heat sink. The LED UVB bulb screwed into the standard 110v light socket in my reptile dual light fixture. I positioned it about 7.5″ above the surface where our turtle will bask to try and evaluate the UVA/UVB output.I compared it to the current Mercury Vapor bulb and to natural sunlight using a UVA/UVB Test card that I have used in the past to check bulbs. The coated area of the UV test card gets darker purple the more UV light it is exposed to. I keep this card in a plastic bag inside an opaque box, inside a drawer so as to not over expose it when not in use (about 1.5 years old now).I found the bulb did put out UVA/UVB, with no UVC based on the test card. One side of the card has a box that the letters show up “UV” for UVA/UVB and another box with letters “UVC” that will show up if UVC is present. Based on this primitive test, the “measured” UV output level was on the middle to lower side, what I would consider minimum for use with our turtle. The LED UV output appeared to be much less than the UV output of the newer 100w Mercury vapor bulb next to it, but similar to the 100w mercury vapor bulb (sorry no pic) on another turtle tank with a 5 month old bulb, about about 15″ above the test card which is enough to keep our 12″ long Red Eared Slider healthy. (~15″ high to keep the temp about 90F-95F for the turtle.)I think this bulb is a good choice for the application and will continue to use it and see how long it lasts. This LED UVB bulb puts out minimum heat, so I will also change the Mercury Vapor bulb to a ceramic heater for this set up/fixture.

Nice compact light!
I love this compact dual dome reptile light. I appreciate the small size, while effectively being able to run two bulbs. It has functioned flawlessly so far and produces a great basking area. To me this is a great deal and a great space saver!
