Doesn’t always work.
I purchased two of these “repair” kits for our cats’ scratching posts. It always seems silly to me to have to purchase an entire post because the jute twine is coming apart. Well…our cats will use one of the repaired posts but refuse to use the other! It might have to do with the size or the smell or the tightness of the jute twine, but they won’t go near it. Oh well…back to Petco to spend another $64.00 on two new posts.

This is a really nice scratching post, especially if you start kittens out with it. The reason I didn’t give it five stars, is because it will travel if you have a bigger cat who is really ‘getting into it’. If you put your foot on a corner, it works fine. One of my cats didn’t do more than sniff it, but then she doesn’t use any kind of scratching post, preferring our rugs. My male cat loves it.

Very easy to assemble, I did have to trim some carpet off the edge with scissors, not a big deal. Didn’t read the instructions to set it up, 2 screws and a washer…Love the color and the size is perfect for my space.
