Grab a couple and create a community of birds!
Love these! I ended up with 4 to accommodate all the wild birds we have. They kept coming!Theyâre very spacious, allowing many birds to feed at once. They enjoy both clinging to the rim while they eat and also standing in the feeder. They like the open design, giving them (and us) a 360° view of everything.The dome on top is good for protecting the birds and feed from rain, and it blocks the bird poo from the birds who perch above the feeder on the shepherd hook.The bird feeders are very sturdy, rust proof and easy to clean. I definitely recommend!So far Iâve seen finches, mourning doves, cardinals and some little chunky dark birds (possible cow birds, I donât know). I use âKaytee Wild Bird Ultimate No Messâ bird feed.

The birds love it – glad I bought it
Iâm really pleased with this feeder. I wanted a lightweight one that I could hang from a pole. I already have a long tube feeder on a pole but bigger birds have trouble with that. So I added this to a second pole. I put a squirrel baffle on the pole underneath – a must – and put it sufficiently far from trees that they canât jump on it.The birds like it. Finches, grosbeaks, etc. They perch on the edge or sit in it. The clear plastic âumbrellaâ is a great feature, and you can easily adjust how high it is (though I think most birds would like the max height). Be aware that empty sunflower seed shells will collect in it. But itâs so easy to dump it all out – and this feeder is way easier to clean than a tube feeder.It was easy to assemble and is sturdy and well made. I love watching the birds eating from this. I didnât get any free stuff for this review, Iâm just happy and the birds seem to enjoy it. I bought the black one, I kinda wish Iâd gotten red.

Good investment for my visitors
This works great for my small yard and tight space. I like that you can remove the dome and hang out without the dome just as well as using the dome. The dome protects from moisture in the air such as fog as I live in a foggy area. It’s easy to take apart and clean and put back together. So on sunny and none foggy days I remove the dome. The smaller birds love it. The blue jays may be a bit big for it with the dome on. I have the feeder on a double hanger pole and is very sturdy. Keeps the cat from hurting the birds. It is very sturdy and built for quality and long life. It is metal and plastic material.

Great little feeder
Love the platform as it is good for all types of birds and bird feed. The dome cover is great for protecting seed in most weather. I own three of these and the only flaw is the three little spot welds that hold the center post to the platform. I have had to repair two of the three so far by adding screws to hold it in place. An easy fix, but room for improvement and the only reason for taking one star away.

Attracts LOTS of birds! Sturdy, Easy to Adjust to Inhibit Bully Birds
GENERAL COMMENTS: REALLY like this Kingsyard feeder w/adjustable domed cover. Simple to assemble, high-quality, sturdy and nice-looking. The domeâs adjustment knob is large and easy to use. Raising the dome to clean and refill the seed tray was also easy. The hook and its attachment to seed tray is sturdier than my long-standing, but now broken, polycarbonate dome feeder (WBU). Being a metal seed tray makes this feeder heavier than others and sometimes in windy conditions it may require an occasional âtweakâ to tighten the hook-to-seed tray. I do NOT consider this a design flaw but a minor issue and not a big deal.Had concern whether the black metal seed tray would get too hot in summer for bird perching (live in the south and we get steamy temps). My feeders are shaded in the morning and get the direct hot sun in the afternoon. Iâve watched now for several weeks and have NOT seen any real decrease in feeding activity while the feeders are in the sun. Feeders are busy all-day long.SEED TRAY: Some reviews have commented the seed tray does not hold enough seed. I like the shallower tray for good reason. I clean and refill the seed tray with food every 1-2 days to avoid moisture from accumulating and seeing growth of a fast-growing string mold (clumps seed and looks like wispy spider web-like materialâ¦and common when itâs humid). The sloped dome works well to keep seed reasonably dry in most rainstorms, but if wind sends rain âsidewaysâ the seed is going to get wet, but that will happen w/any type of feeder. I donât worry about it becuz w/me refilling the tray frequently avoids wet seed from accumulating and growing mold.TYPE of BIRDS & DOME ADJUSTMENT: I only like attracting smaller birds and woodpeckers to any of my feeders. Admittedly I donât like the bully birds (e.g. grackles, bluejays, blackbirds, cowbirds, catbirds, doves and pigeons) as they crowd the feeders and scare away the smaller birds. So, my goal is to prohibit bully bird access to my feeders. To that effect I experimented w/the dome height over the seed tray. Found that 3½ inches from the bottom of the metal seed tray to the bottom of the dome worked great (pics attached). The cardinals, being the bigger of the smaller birds can access the feeder without any problems. Other birds Iâve seen eating at my feeders include finches, nuthatches, wrens, chickadees, tufted titmouse and Eastern bluebirds. Sure, the bully birds try to figure a way to enter the feeders but are unsuccessful. In short order, they eventually give up and leave so then the smaller birds return.Although my woodpeckers prefer the other 2 food selections I have out for them, they will access this seed tray by holding onto its side and typically do a âgrab-and-goâ to snatch a peanut/seeds and then fly away. Even though I attract some woodpecker species that are sizable birds, they do not âtip or spillâ this sturdy feeder when perching. So, all-in-all everybodyâs happy and dining (except the bullies).Liked this feeder so well I ordered a second one to use w/another type of seed. My 2 Kingsyard feeders have attracted a LOT of different birds. Iâm truly enjoying it! Extremely pleased w/this purchase.

Quality construction, sturdy, with a stainless steel hook. Easy to clean with the hose. The adjustable dome helps keep the food dry and can also be used to keep larger birds out as desired. A good value for the price.An open platform feeder like this is the most universal type of bird feeder. Bird attraction can easily be customized by varying the food presented. For example, I use a mix of sunflower hearts, white millet, nyjer, corn, peanuts, raisins, and suet nuggets.All kinds of birds are visiting – cardinals, chickadees, titmice, sparrows, doves, house finches, goldfinches, gray catbirds, downy woodpeckers, robins, bluebirds, wrens, warblers, etc. Add orange slices and/or grape jelly in a small cup in the tray, and orioles would likely visit.

Good Birdfeeder
Have used this feeder for two seasons. It has been everything I needed. The seed stays dry and the cover keeps bird poop off. Only downside is the raccoons spin it enough to unscrew the rod. It is empty by then and I just screw it back on. They have not broken it yet, which speaks to the durabilty. One of the better feeders that I have purchased.

This has been an excellent item, robust and easy to clean, and the Local red Squirrels use it while keeping dry at the same time . We dont mind and neither do the birds, waiting for Red to go home.

These are very good bird feeders, l now have two and in the winter I will buy another.The birds love them as I shop as the nut into small pieces and the rest off the food get broken down so the birds can get as much as they need.

Just what I wanted. The plastic dome is bigger than the base which means that the pigeons have yet to work out how to access the food. The small birds are quite happy to use it. A carefully thought out design.
