They’re like kittens again!
I have two nearly 12 year old cats and they love both of these wand toys! They’re like kittens again with all their excitement and jumping in the air and scrambling around with big, dialiated eyes. And they are entertained for sooo long! I get tired of playing before they do! Like seriously, they’ll play for upwards of a half an hour several times a day. It’s only been about a week, but this toy doesn’t seem to get old for them and I think it’s because it’s so interactive compared to crinkle toys and everything else that they can only bat around for so long.One wand is a ribbon material that is a little shorter in length while the other is a cloth material that is a bit longer. Both work great depending on if my cats are prowling from further away or right up close to me. As for durability, one of my cats has been trying to rip the ends apart and it’s holding up pretty well for the abuse. There is already some threads coming loose on the one and a hole in the ribbon, but I do think they’ll last quite awhile. And honestly, for the price point, it was a great deal either way.

This product makes my cats… SOOOOOOO HAPPY 🙂 – besides flimsy handle
I know it’s a cliche… cat and kittens with yarn and string.. but man o man… it’s a cliche for a reason then.I purchased the rainbow package and it came with one shorter string and one longgggg string.The short one is more like a ribbon (see second photo) and the longer one is….. longggggggg and more of a… think… going to walmart, picking out a piece of fabric that you would make a blanket for, and imagine that you cut that the length of your leg and attached it to a pole.I like both different reasons.The shorter ribbon one because the ribbon is a great size for play. You can move it around and have your cat chase it to the point where there are not too far behind the toy. The ribbon one is great for “chasing” games.The longer (blanket-like one) is almost too long but the cats seem to like to. I personally wouldn’t cut it because sometimes that length is needed (Especially when you’re swinging the wand while you are simultaneously going in a circle) that’s when the longer wand is perfect.A con, is that the wands are too short – i would say about 3/4 of a forearm’s length and is not strong.For example, when my cat latched onto the string, I was doing a pulling motion to mimic a bird trying to fly away to give them more of that “real” feeling, and the wand bent to the point where it’s no longer straight and I have to play with a bend wand. Not a huge deal breaker but definitely something to consider.I’ll still rate a 5 for the fact that i do like the product… BUT… i would prefer to have a stronger handle.

Good Product
Some people have said that the handle on this toy breaks easily, and I can see how that could happen â itâs not the most sturdy piece of plastic. However, I think if youâre careful (not tugging excessively, which I wouldnât recommend regardless because you could hurt your cat accidentally) you shouldnât have that issue. Two out of three of my cats love it (I think the third cat just doesnât like this type of toy), and if the handle breaks Iâll simply attach the string to something else.The length of the string makes it really easy to use.

Simple, Entertaining, Affordable Fun
This was a very affordable cat toy for my senior cat Rosie who’s going to be 15 this year. She still a bit energetic and it was always hard to find toys that she would not lose interest in right away. But with these ribbon wands she gets so much joy out of them.What’s nice is that there’s no small pieces, nothing that could come off of them for cats to choke on or get hurt by.So if you have a senior cat who still has bit of energy and still wants to play then these would be a great choice.The wand is petite in size and thickness but the ribbon is very long so you don’t have to worry about the wand being a bit short. As for the thickness of the wand it is quite sturdy. My cat will tug on these, bite them and try to pull the ribbon from me, with no problems The colors of the ribbons are bright and cheery.

From a cat sitter-get this toy!
I pet sit and I always pack this toy on my visits. It’s almost always a hit and cats go absolutely bananas for it. It’s the perfect amount of swish for dashing around corners and across the floor.Be aware that you’ll have to replace it eventually as most cats like to bite and chew on it (at this price point I think that it’s still a great value).The fabric string is slightly less durable and will snap faster. Some cats may also try to eat the string like a spaghetti noodle. I’d use it for supervised play until you know your cats habits.

Its a decent toy and you cant beat the price. My cat loves it! My only complaint is that it could be made a little better. But you get what you pay for. Holds up pretty decent against the claws

Great buy
This is my catâs favorite thing in the world. Iâve bought it twice. The only con Iâve experienced is that the handle will snap if my cat plays tug of war with it but honestly with how much she loves it and the fact that two come in the order Iâd say itâs more than worth it. It also keeps my boyfriend entertained while he plays with the cats so thatâs a bonus!
