Cleaning used backpack
The YouTubers convinced me that this stuff was the product I needed to clean an ODB (Old Dirty Backpack) I got for a great deal on a used gear site. It worked great! I’ll keep using it for any outdoor gear and apparel where maintaining water repelancy is a factor.

Great product
This product is a great product and while the price seems high it really is a great value for the money because this bottle will last a very long time. Very easy to use just place recommended amount into washer once itâs full. The scent is a little strong but my experience it goes away once the clothes are dry. Your gear will be back to repelling water like new again. My only complaint is I purchased this huge bottle which was still almost completely full the temp outside rose to 98 for a couple weeks and the bottle somehow broke open at the bottom and almost all the product drained out before I noticed. I have maybe 20 ounces left so I would definitely keep an eye on the bottle if in the same situation. Maybe nikwax can read this and help me out with a replacement.

Nikwax refreshed ski/snowboard Outerwear
Washed Patagonia and Northface ski jackets (shells and down liners), and Patagonia and 686 ski/snowboard pants. Garments came out refreshed after washing on delicate cylce with Nikwax Tech Wash. Followed instructions on bottle for 4 garments/load. No fading or odd smells after washing. Will continue to use each season.

You must read all the reviews! And you must follow all the directions! If You Love Your Coat and do not want to risk it to a Laundry service you can Save Your Favorite coat or jacket this way. It’s a long ordeal but it’s worth it if it you’re favorite and Expensive and Irreplaceable coat or jacket!!!! I nearly fainted during the processes but Reading All The Very Valuable and Very Detailed & Informative Reviews & Instructions – Saved My $300 dollar Down Parka – It cleaned 15 years of abuse, every stain, renewed my waterproofing, Protected my Down, took out Ground in sunscreen & Dirt – and It Looked – I swear – BRAND NEW!THEY HAVE ALOT OF PRODUCTS – READ AND CHOOSE WISELY – THEY ARE VERY Specific – they are formulated just right – Choose the product that Matches your Coat BEST.And Most Importantly TAKE CAREFUL DETAILED NOTES – NOTE THE TIMES YOU SOAK etc,, – EVERY DETAIL IS IMPORTANT- READ & WRITE THEM DOWN & FOLLOW THEM – THERE WILL BE MANY STEPS – YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE A TIMER, A PEN & YOUR NOTES WITH YOU. I USED A PLASTIC LONG TUBE Container THAT FIT MY BATH TUB. I also bought the 6 Giant Wool Ball for the Dryer Part – It took about 4 hrs with no heat to dry and about 3 Hours to Fluff & restore my Down Filling – But Came Back Beautifully!I have had BAD Professional Laundry Experiences with leather jacket & expensive & irreplaceable coats & jackets, This Works!

Nikwax Tech Wash is a great product for washing any waterproof garment with a fabric exterior. After normal use, the exterior fabric on waterproof garments normally loses its water repellency and begins to “wet out” or get “splotchy” instead of the water droplets beading up like when new. Nikwax Tech Wash is the perfect product to both clean the garment and prepare it for renewing the DWR water repellency with the Nikwax TX.Direct product (either the wash-in or spray-on version). Regular use of both Nikwax’s Tech Wash and TX.Direct will keep your outdoor water repellent clothing in like-new condition. When ordering Nikwax products from Amazon, be sure to select those that are both sold and delivered by Amazon, and not by a third party vendor who is selling through Amazon. I made that mistake the first time and it took five days instead of one day to receive my products.
