Get ready to see the birds flock in
This marvelous birdfeeder attracts all kinds of wonderful songbirds and colorful woodpeckers. Ours had Downy, Hairy, Red-Bellied woodpeckers along with Chickadees, Carolina Wrens, Missouri Bluebirds, and even a Junco. It has provided us with a lot of entertainment at our meals; we just look out the window and it’s better than a Nature Show. It’s going to be a dream to clean before filling it again. It was SUPER easy to put together and the construction is really remarkable and sturdy.

A Word of Caution … (actually, several words)
Update: 08/10/2025Although I continue to be pleased with the quality and utility of these feeders, I have noticed a subtle problem which may or may not impact other purchasers. Out of the total of 8 feeders which I purchased over several months, I have discovered that 2 of the feeders have slightly smaller metal grid meshes. This makes it practically impossible for birds to extract black oil sunflower seeds. I did not notice this discrepancy until it became apparent that birds were avoiding these 2 feeders.The solution for my particular situation was simple. I used the 2 feeders with small grids for peanuts only. Birds have no problem pecking through the small grids.If you order this product, you may wish to check and see if the grid size is suitable for the bird food which you choose.Rating decreased by one star due to this lack of quality control and consistency.****Over the past decades, I have tried many different types of feeders to accommodate black oil sunflower seeds and/or shelled peanuts. This unit is the best. Like most feeders, it must be placed to avoid squirrel predation, but that comes with the territory.I place these feeders where squirrel access is challenging and use Predator Guard Squirrel Baffles primarily as protection from rainy weather (bird feeder hangs below the baffle). Makes a very fine combination.I am a bird lover, so I have feeding stations on 3 sides of my home, with a total of 8 individual feeders. I have replaced all previous feeders with this model. The huge capacity is wonderful and really cuts down on feeder maintenance.Will add pix soon. Raining at the moment!

Good option
This is a great little feeder at a great price. Easy to fill, easily to clean, perfect size and looks great in cobalt blue. So far I’ve been using suet nuggets, but once these are gone I think I’m going to give a good deep clean and see how well it holds striped sunflower seeds. The wire mesh should be the right size for shelled seeds. I’ve only been using this since February, but if you’re in the market for this type of feeder it gets my seal of approval. I’m happy to have added it to the arsenal & I can’t help but imagine the birds are too.

Great feeder for suet nuggets!
I love this feeder. I use it for suet nuggets. The birds love it too. Minimal mess, as compared to suet cakes. Great item and sturdy too. Buy it!

I like this feeder for suet nuggets but the hex nut was missing for the bottom.

Ideal for All Bird Seed
I’m nuts about feeding the birds. Seriously. What bothers me is when the birds can’t get the seed out of a tubular feeder because the seeds are too big. Like some sunflower seeds. So I bought this, which is technically a peanut feeder. But I use it as a regular bird feeder, and I have stopper worrying about whether or not the birds can get seed mixes out of my tube feeders. This is heavy duty and high end. Worth every penny.

Falls apart
This really looked like a great peanut feeder, but every time I put it out, it gets knocked down, and the top and bottom come off. I’ve tried securing them several ways, but no luck, so I chucked it in the trash.

Good value!
It is perfect for the suet pellets and the birds love the feeder and the pellets. Unfortunately so do the squirrels!ð¤ Oh, well. The feeder is sturdy and seems well made and a good value compared to other feeders. No plastic! Even though the squirrels are eating the bird food they are causing no damage to the feeder. So Iâm happy with the purchase.

I wanted a woodpecker feeder that the large horde of local birds (I.e., sparrows and grackles) couldnât raid. This product works exactly as advertised. Itâs impressive how long the peanuts last. The only birds that can eat from it are woodpeckers and nuthatches. Additionally, since hanging this feeder, our bird-infested yard started regularly attracting brand new visitors (downy woodpeckers). Extremely pleased with this product. If you want to attract/exclusively feed woodpeckers, this is the perfect feeder to do so.

Nice peanut feeder but the blue jays empty it too quickly. I also have a pileated woodpecker that comes to the feeder & it’s a little small for him. Might be good for other peoples feeding station but not for mine.
