Good option for weight and joint support in dogs
This Purina Pro Plan OM formula is designed to help manage weight while supporting joint health. The kibble size is easy for my dog to chew and she seems to enjoy the flavor. I noticed she has maintained a healthy weight since switching and her movement looks a bit smoother. It has a balanced mix of protein and fiber which helps keep her full between meals. The formula also includes nutrients aimed at supporting joint mobility which is great for older or less active dogs. The 6 pound bag is a manageable size and stays fresh if sealed well. It is more expensive than regular dog food but the targeted benefits make it worth considering. Overall it is a solid choice if your dog needs both weight management and joint support in one formula.

Helpful for Weight & Joint Support
My dog has been on this food for a few weeks, and I can already see a difference. It seems to help with weight management while also supporting joint mobilityâsheâs moving around more easily and has more energy during walks. The kibble size is easy for her to chew, and she actually enjoys the taste, which isnât always the case with special diet foods. A bit pricey, but worth it for the health benefits Iâm seeing.

Convenience, with Pros and Cons in regard to value
Manufactured my nestle, this dog food ranges from average to above-average quality.Soy protein is one of the main proteins, while mixed with other meat sources this is something to be mindful of.The addition of glucosamine is great for joint health, but for 50$ a 6lb bag, the value isn’t there, as glucosamine is an incredibly affordable supplement.Kibbles are medium to large size and relatively hard, so for senior dogs or small dogs it may not have as great of eat ability.This food would be good for someone searching for a quick and convenient solution for joint supplementation for their pet- but the value isn’t quite there.

this 6 pound bag of OM Purina pro dog food helped my dog lose a few pounds of fat, while keeping lean muscle mass in an active diet. I can’t say much about the nutritional value of the dog food other than what’s listed, but it seems to offer more protein per pound, allowing it to be a leaner source of food. 6 pounds is not nearly enough for any longer than a couple days, but probably means a month or longer for miniature dogs. It works, it fits me needs

Good food for overweight dogs
I recently started giving this food to my dog and she really enjoys it. The kibble is a bit larger than I expected, but it’s not an issue. My dog is slightly overweight, so this formula is a great fit. The 3:1 protein-to-starch ratio supports a healthy metabolism, which is perfect to help with my dog’s weight! I like incorporating protein into her diet because it is essential for growth, repair, and maintaining muscles.Since vet approval is required for this food, I feel confident using it, knowing it’s specifically recommended for my dog’s weight management and overall health.The only downsides were the condition of the bag (see photo) when it arrived and the expiration date being a little sooner than I would have liked (October 2025). Still, Iâm happy I went with this food. Itâs a solid option for weight issues and my dog genuinely seems to enjoy it.

Pricey but Worth It
This has always been a pricey brand of dog food, and the veterinary recommend kind is no exception. That being said, it has helped tremendously to control my overweight dogs weight, and I’m glad I made the switch. The food quality is fantastic.

Great product Poor Shipping
The dog food was tossed into a large box for shopping. No doubt bounced all over the place. Chewy is much more thoughtful about their shipping standards, I am going to cancel my subscription for this product through Amazon.
