Works well, just dont plan to run anything incredible high output in it
The socket for the bulb itself is fine but as a note, the gauge of the wire and switch on the cord would make me hesitant to run much more than 100 watts, maybe 150 is fine but use caution because its not that heavy duty. Of course you could take the socket out of the “cage” and use the “cage” with a heavier duty cable or cable and socket but in that case you paid for something youre not using. So just keep that in mind, I would recommend the cage itself as a great way to keep your pet off the light . The only thing I have not been able to test would be how the metal holds up in a high humidity environment for a long long time will it corrode? No idea. So far its fine.

Great for heat basking bulb mounted inside enclosure.
These are the best & safest ceramic fixtures that are mounted inside the enclosure for heat emitters & bulbs for basking. This is perfect to keep your reptile from getting burned from exposed heat bulb.

Good quality, easy access and installation.
Decent quality. Love the size, love the bottom access panel, but mine came with slightly bent tabs which is what’s keeping me from giving 5 stars. Seemed like it was threatening to break if I tried bending the tabs flat, so just left em alone.

Does the job
It serves its purpose and was easy to install in my Dubai enclosures. Itâs barely large enough to screw in a CHE (if you have small fingers!) but my DHP wouldnât fit in it.

Used for bearded dragon pvc enclosures
Came with nails to mount them into our pvc enclosure. They work perfectly. Been about a month and I donât see them going out any time soon.

Cheap and flimsy. Look for something better
The pictures make these look reasonably well made and the price wasn’t super cheap so I thought I’d try them. Mistake. These are very cheaply made. The wire and screw tabs are thin and really flexible. That’s not that big of a deal, I don’t think it has to be bomb proof, but the electrical cord and switch are unacceptably flimsy. Frankly, garbage and a fire hazard. The wire gauge was thinner than any lamp wire I’ve ever seen and you can tell the insulation around the wire is junk too. The switch is shoddy and no way it will hold up. For something that you will leave on for an extended amount of time and using are for 100W or so they should do better. I swapped out the lamp assembly with one I had in a clamp lamp. But in doing so one of the “welds” attaching the lamp to the cage came loose. Also the wires are attached to the lamp assembly with crappy little screw posts, like you’d see in small solid wire attachments. They did at least tin the strand wire, but poorly.Don’t waste your time or risk a fire with these things.

Work great
I have Uromastyx that like to jump on the fixtures so I was worried about them getting burned. These solved my issue and worries , I ordered 4 and now I am ordering 2 more. Great product!

Half of them work.
Well I had 3 set up in the enclosure one I used for only a small period of time. Tried again and stopped working. So I tried the 4th, and that also didnât work. Tried my old set up where it was just plugged in and the bulb worked so it wasnât the bulb. Tried on the same outlets. 2 out of 4 work. Only been a month.
