Our Wagner’s Cracked Corn is enjoyed by a variety of ground feeding birds such as Blue Jays, Cardinals, Doves, Juncos, Quail, Pheasants, Ducks and Grouse. Rabbits, chipmunks and other playful wildlife will be attracted as well. It can be fed on its own or mixed with other seed. Many people feed cracked corn separately from their regular bird feeding area so that playful squirrels and other small animals have their own place to eat – diverting them from eating at your bird feeders. Sprinkle some on the ground where it is easily accessible by both birds and animals. Use Wagner’s Cracked Corn and enjoy that “close to nature” feeling that comes with feeding your own backyard wildlife. Trust your backyard birds to the experts at Wagner’s.

Customers say
Customers find this cracked corn bird food to be of good quality, particularly loved by ducks, geese, and wild doves, and consider it a great value. The product receives mixed feedback about its cracking quality – while some say it’s very well cracked, others report that not all corn pieces are properly broken. Moreover, customers disagree on whether birds and squirrels enjoy it. Additionally, the product contains dust, which customers find unappealing.

Oddly popular with blue jays and woodpeckers
I’m feeding birds at a Brooklyn apartment window birdfeeder with humans clearly visible, and there are a good many bird feeders in this area (you’d be surprised at the variety of birds that call Brooklyn home) so it’s a bit of a game to find what attracts birds the most. Mess free was always a requirement.Peanuts are a sure win, though since I have a nut-allergic friend coming over regularly that’s literally off the table. They are the most popular, and if that’s an option for your birds, go for it. The only downside there is sometimes it looks like the birds, especially the doves, might choke on it.For morning doves, sunflower hearts and this cracked corn are tied for second. As I type one dove it sitting on the windowsill eating the hearts and the other is eating this. Doves are city birds. They don’t care. A human wants to watch? That’s fine. There’s food. They’re fast and they know it. They just eat. Some of the doves, having had thistle seed, will settle for nothing else. Yep, we’ve taught a flock of scavenger birds to be finicky. The bag say titmice won’t eat this. The titmice did not read the bag. They love it. It is tied with sunflower hearts, but for them I suspect it’s based on comfort level with humans. The ones who just snatch a seed and fly away prefer the more portable sunflower hearts. The ones who feel confident enough to stay a few minutes and eat prefer these. If your feeder is in a place birds feel less threatened, I think this will be a top winner. That means I like this best for them, because I get to see them longer. For blue jays, this is more popular than the sunflower hearts. Again, there is the nervous nature of these birds. I’m more likely to catch them eating when I first come into the kitchen, before they see me. Sometimes they hang out and eat, and that’s awesome. They’re beautiful, and I hope this tempts them to hang out more. I’m definitely getting more visits from them since I started putting this out.For woodpeckers this is beaks down a winner, even over peanuts. They love this stuff. I’ve had more of them visit since putting this out than ever before. It’s trial and error to find what the local birds like, what tempts them, and I’ll probably keep experimenting but I’ll be stocking this for my feeder. It’s a hit.The bag is very sturdy, opens easily, and sadly doesn’t reseal. I don’t know why that isn’t a more common feature in bird food bags. Seems a needed and obvious one to me.

Cranes love it
The Sandhill cranes love it. It helpful for them when there babies are young. It’s nutritious and it helps the Young birds grow. It’s good because the corn is cracked so it’s easy for them to chew and Digest

My bird friends LOVE it
My local bird friends LOVE it. For that reason Iâm giving it a 5 star. Iâve seen reviews about the dust and some processing issues, which Iâve noticed as well. But for the price itâs 100% worth it.

Wagners 18542 cracked corn
The Quality is horrible on my last 3 bags. Corn not cracked enough and sticks and hard pieces were mixed in. Looks like fillers being added for weight at same price. Have buying for a long time so very upset and disappointed with this junk quality

Great for the local ducks
Liv adjacent to a pond with ducks and they love this stuff. Small enough for the baby ducks to consume. When they hear the back door opening they head to the “feeding area.” Only drawback perhaps is that you might not want to wear dark colors when feeding since it can leave product dust on the clothes, particularly if there is any wind.

Ducks love this stuff
I have wild ducks in our backyard and theyâve learned where the food is. We put a cup of this out back each day. By afternoon if itâs gone, some of the ducks come to the screen door looking into our lanai for us to tell us they need food. The squirrels seem to enjoy it too and stays out of my bird feeders.

Great quality, easy on the wallet
I have a bird garden, and feed other wild life which likes to visit – squirrels, skunks, ground hog (even though he is in hybernation at the moment), raccons etcThis is a great affordable food to add into other food, such as sunflower seed and peanuts to stretch your budget. This is an item I will be purchasing from here on forward.

Birds love this cracked corn. My young son made a ground feeder and we puts some in there. So many birds came – sparrows, mourning doves, blackbirds, cardinals – it even attracted mallard ducks to my yard.

I use it to feed geese and they love it, once the geese are done feeding the pigeons and sometimes seagulls will join the party.
Rosslyn Perry –
The big birds in my yard love this at their ground feeder. I am very pleased with this product.

Bought this for the ducks at the cottage. Ate it up like crazy. Kind of expensive for such a small bag tho. Otherwise it was good.
