Bird-approved feeder â
Birds LOVE it – all types of birds! House finches have been the majority of my visitors, but Iâve also seen hooded orioles, gold finches, mourning doves, scrub jays, a black phoebe, and a northern mockingbird so far. It is VERY durable as there have been two squirrels on both sides at one point. The suet cage on the sides are a bit smaller than the standard suet cake size. The feeder itself is well made and nice to look at. I love it, but Iâm not sure Iâll keep it because itâs a bit smaller than I wanted, but thatâs personal preference. With the squirrel for reference, you can see itâs a decent-sized feeder.

Pretty cool bird feeder! Well built except the cable that it hangs from prevents the top metal roof from fully seating against the house. Couldn’t see an easy way to fix it. May have to drill a bigger hole in the metal roof.Pretty solid other than that. Heavy and holds a lot of seed and suet.

Edit – I was able to get the metal fastener replaced and added s hooks to put the top/hanger back on. So far itâs holding. Lots of bird activity.Original- I loved this initially and was impressed by how sturdy it looked and felt. I think it would be difficult to screw the little side tops on if you have large hands. Filled it up and grabbed it to put on the hook and the metal fastener holding the cord disengaged. No way to put it together. So I grabbed it to bring inside until I can solve the lid problem and both of the little landing racks came off as I was carrying it. It hold a ton and is heavy but Im going to try to come up with a better way to hang it. Disappointed for now.
