Sully the Labrador Melts Hearts With His Grandparent Visits
Hearts across the internet are melting over a black Labrador named Sully, whose joyful reaction to visiting his grandparents’ house has gone viral.
Sully lives in Idaho with his owner, Tori T, who frequently shares his antics on TikTok under the handle @sullytheblacklab. Known for his playful energy and love of adventure, Sully saves some of his biggest excitement for trips to Grandma and Grandpa’s home.
“Sully has always been this excited about life,” Tori told Newsweek. “Especially when it comes to Grandma and Grandpa’s house.”
Tori works from home, where it’s usually just the two of them. So when she tells him they’re heading out for a visit, his happiness is off the charts. “Any time there’s an opportunity to break up the routine, he’s in!” she said with a laugh.
And there’s plenty for Sully to love at his grandparents’ home. Their yard is enormous, “like his own personal park,” Tori explained, filled with scents to sniff and space to explore. Grandpa takes him on long walks, while both grandparents spoil him with endless cuddles, attention, and playtime.
On October 17, Tori shared a TikTok that quickly captured hearts online. In the clip, she tries to calm Sully before breaking the news. “I need to tell you something, but I need you to act a little less excited this time, OK?” she says. But before she can finish her sentence, Sully explodes into full-body zoomies — spinning, leaping, and bouncing with pure glee. “I haven’t even told you yet!” Tori laughs in the video.

When she finally manages to say he’s going to stay with Grandma and Grandpa while she travels for work, Sully bolts straight for the door, tail wagging furiously, and jumps into the car ready for his next big adventure.

The man’s behavior shows the connection between animal abuse and other types of cruelty. He’s already been jailed in the past for his violent history, but that obviously didn’t address his underlying motivations for this kind of assault.
The video quickly racked up over 54,000 likes and thousands of comments. “Sully could at least pretend to like you!” one person joked. Another wrote, “He said spit it out already!” while a third chimed in, “Sully had to get out the preemptive zoomies.”
Tori admitted she never expected this level of attention when she started posting. “I started his account just for fun, so I wouldn’t spam my friends and family,” she said. “I never would have guessed he’d amass the following he has today. It’s been so special reading all the love that pours in.”

It’s clear Sully’s grandparents adore him just as much. “They break a lot of their own rules for him,” Tori shared. “When they raised me, we were never allowed to feed the dogs human food. But Grandpa’s a lot more generous at the cutting board than I am!”
Experts agree that experiences like Sully’s are more than just fun. According to the American Kennel Club, socialization and exposure to different environments play a huge role in raising confident, well-adjusted dogs. For Sully, these trips to Grandma and Grandpa’s aren’t only joyful — they’re helping him thrive.

For Tori, watching her dog light up over life’s simple joys is its own reward. “I adore Sully,” she said. “And the fact that people across the globe love him too genuinely makes me tear up sometimes.”
