Leopard Gecko LOVES This Substrate
I love this substrate, and so does my leopard gecko! It doesn’t have a strong smell, and it’s pretty easy to clean up. The bag was bigger than I expected- honestly, I don’t know what I was expecting in terms of size, but they give you a lot for what you pay for. It’s a great quality substrate, and pairs well with play sand.MAKE SURE THAT YOU SOAK THE SUBSTRATE IN A BIN WITH WATER FOR A FEW MINUTES. It arrives harder than a brick! Just add water a little at a time to ensure you’re using what you need and not wasting substrate.

Top Notch for the price
Amazing two small bricks filled up two 50 gallon tubs my bowser loves it, the smell is not bad itâs actually ânaturalâ smelling, I put it inside a 5 gallon Loweâs bucket and poured water inside mixing by hand and breaking down by hand until the texture was spot on will definitely be purchasing this again.Bowser is a 4 month old Sulcata

good value and quality
I was glad there was a video on this so I knew how to use it because it doesn’t come with any directions. We didn’t use a certain about of water, we just kept adding until it was saturated. I think we might have used a bit too much water because it was about a day before we could put it in our tank. One brick was the pefect size to fill our 20 gallon tank. Works great for our little corn snake. Can’t really beat the price either, great value and quality.

A friend of ours — who has raised snakes for quite some time — recommended this stuff to us. The only thing I underestimated was how much water would stretch this out! So a word to the wise: don’t hydrate it all at once!! Especially if you order 2 bricks at a time, like we do XD.We absolutely love this stuff. We ordered it for a royal ball python and it’s PERFECT for them. She loves to burrow and dig around in it. It’s also EXTREMELY easy to switch out when it’s time to clean the tank. Seems to help with the humidity levels they need, too! (Don’t forget the moss, though. It’s a combination deal that really maintains it.)The only thing I’d caution you on is if you ever deal with annoying little mites like we did. They’ll use this stuff to hide. (Which, in NO way, is a negative towards them. 🙂 I just wanna stress that!) All we had to do was sub this stuff with some paper towels while we got rid of said mites. As soon as she was clear, we went straight back to this stuff. Very happy royal ball python!I highly recommend this product, ESPECIALLY if you’ve got a royal ball python!

So easy to use. Pop in a bucket of filtered water over night and thats it, soil to keep your scaly friends happy.It triples in size. Not dusty. Smell pleasant. Easy to keep on hand as it takes little room to store.My tortoise and chameleon both have a layer at the bottom of their tanks. Easy to keep moist. Would highly recommend

Brilliant coconut mix here, easy to use. I was surprised at first when it was in blocks?, you just soak it in water , very straightforward, I was used to using a forest substrate, the only reason I switched to coconut mulch substrate was because the forest dirt mix would attract flies more so than the coconut and on another plus side , the coconut mix smells alright too, instead of earthy smell you would usually get. Highly recommend for your insect pets !
