Cleared algae bloom in 50 gallon tank
7W, 8-in light. Cleared algae bloom in 3 days for my 50 gallon tank. Fit in my Aqueon QuietFlow 75 but you have to tilt it at an angle. It’s more than 8 inches if you account for the bend radius of the cord. The filter cover didn’t completely close but enough not to let the UV light out of the filter tank.

DON’T BUY. KILLS YOUR FISH
I had this gadget on for only half an hour, when I noticed the fish acting strange. Within 4 hours I have a tank full of DEAD OR DYING FISH. The once still swimming are covered with what looks like ich substance. Note: all water conditions are normal after I tested the water.

OK light
Itâs an OK type UV donât know that itâs doing much work. I thought it would be a lot brighter to kill. I donât know that itâs doing much but to me it looks fairly weak light. I just stuck it there in hopes that it would clean some of the surface water or or kill some of the bacteria whatever floats around in it. Hope to get a bigger one later. I just stuck it in a cheap little surface filter filter skimmer type thing for for me.
