Great for basking spot
This slate works great for my bearded dragons basking spot. It’s a large size and it’s actually slate which is nice. Also has rubber on the backside to keep it in place.

Great, as described
As described, does what I need it to do. I needed it for my baby hognose feeding/basking rock. This is the 3.9×3.9inch in a 10g tank. They included a strip temp reader but I donât really appreciate them taping it directly on the slate as it left these tape marks that wonât come off even after scrubbing. Word of advice to seller, tape it on a seperate paper or the bottom of the rock, itâs very unsightly and the only reason Iâm not returning it is because thereâs no sticky residue, itâs just marks. Purchasing this for a reptile Itâs not as safe if thereâs residue on the slate.

Your Beardie Will Love You
Got two of these for my beardies. This is the largest size. Itâs definitely big enough for my almost adult girl. The slate is good quality, worth every penny. Itâs very easy to clean, it looks nice and it holds temps perfectly! Itâs not too heavy but sturdy enough to where she isnât going to break it. Itâs a nice gray color so it goes good with everything in the tank. It does its job and does it well! No complaints and Iâve already recommended it to tons of people Iâm in a beardie group with!

Smaller than I expected
The slate rock itself does hold heat and helps keep the beak and nails in shape. It was smaller than I expected. Pay attention to measurements. I have no complaints. I hope you make them in larger sizes at some point. I have a 70 pound tortoise that has outgrown two of these so far.

Not Easily Cleaned for Big ol Bearded Dragon poo
Bought this as a basking platoon for my bearded dragon. However my beardie liked to take her poopoos there. I thought with this slate it would have ease of cleaning but it wasnât the case for me. I was hoping for a one wipe clean but my easy doodoo pick up for my beardie dreams were crushed. The quality seems fine and great value. However for the reason that I wanted it, it didnât hold up.

Bearded Dragon basking platform
I use this for a basking platform for my bearded dragon!! Itâs big enough that he can stretch completely out on it to bask (as well as have some snacks on it), heats up well, super easy to clean, AND keeps his nails filed!! I loved it before I realized that as he walks on it, it files his nails! Havenât had to do a nail trim AT ALL since I put it in his cage. Serves dual purposes! Itâs his favorite platform, as well as mine 🙂
