Customers say
Customers find the aquarium vacuum easy to use and appreciate that it can be taken apart for cleaning. Moreover, the product offers good value for money. However, the functionality and quality receive mixed reviews, with some saying it works well while others report it hardly works. Additionally, the water flow and suction strength also get mixed feedback – while some say the water flows well and the suction is amazing, others report it doesn’t flow at all and the suction is weak. Moreover, durability is a concern as the plastic parts break off easily and the product doesn’t last long.

Simple & Inexpensive
Love this siphon! I have tried quite a few types of water siphons for my tanks and am happy to say I have found the one that works for me.This siphon works easily and simply. All you do is squeeze the bulb and water will almost effortless move from tank to bucket. With that said, there are a few things you have to take into consideration.First: The outflow end of the siphon tube is short so you will need a clip in order to keep that part of the hose from spilling out of your bucket. Trust me, a visit to the dollar store will come in very handy.Second: There is no true pre-filter to the intake end. The intake end is quite large so if you have fry or nano fish, in order to protect them from being sucked up and out, get a pair of knee high pantyhose and tie one to the intake end with a rubber band. Again, trust me – don’t risk your aqua buddies being lost. It doesn’t have to be pantyhose, but you get the idea. You will need some sort of fine mesh that you can wrap around the nose of the siphon.Overall, the price of under $10 and how easily it works and is amendable. You really can’t go wrong with this siphon. Finally, this is easy to take apart for cleaning. Buy a few just for backup and you can even find other colored bulbs, like red or green out there too.Third:S

Didnât work as expected
It didnât work as expected. It made a lot of mess because the plastic tube was cracked.

Not a gravel cleaner
This aquarium vacuum siphon works ok, but not as a gravel cleaner. The suction leave much to be desired. I tried to use it in my little desktop Betta tank and while it would suck up plenty of water, the suction did not, however, suck up any impurities off the gravel surface. This is great for a water change, but not for a gravel cleaner as the title states.

Buy this
I will admit this hose is actually very long. It was a bit too much for me but I love the way it works I wonât return it. It really cuts my cleaning time in half when I clean my fish tank. The pump on it is such a great tool considering Iâd basically syphon my fish tank water before hand. Itâs so easy to use and is already put together no assembly required. This is such a great tool and no fish have been sucked up. Iâve used about a year now and no damage just a quick rinse after use.

Easy Simple Siphon.
A simple easy-to-use solution where the rubber-meets-the-road. Simple physics law of gravity that works in any size tank. I use this siphon a lot – 10 gallon tank with 7 Tetras and no trauma. You’ll love it.

Good suction.

A few of the plastic parts are not connected so I had to use duct tape which then made it work. Cheap quality however. Wanted to use for fish tank cleaning but since there were parts not attached gluing it might affect the fish or the water. I ended up using it for draining a pool as a siphon and worked great!

The plastic turbing is very thin and the pump is very soft which makes it hard to get it to pump. The holes in the pump are small and clog easily.
