    Kills them all
This is super gross, but it works very very well. The smell to me is nauseating, but the flies are very attracted to it, and it is highly effective.

    Actually traps and KILLS flys
The best fly trap I have used yet! It actually kills them instead of just catching them. The other fly traps I’ve used (the bright green ones) only catch the flys they don’t actually kill them, so I can’t empty and reuse the containers & the flys just keep repopulating. This actually kills the flys. You do have to put it in direct sunlight and wait a few days but man does it work! The full trap has only been out for about 5 days! I have 12 chickens so I have a lot of flies.Very easy to reuse! Just wait till night time and dig a hole, dump and refill!I was spending a lot of money on traps but this being actually reusable will save me a lot of $.The refill packs are pretty cheap like 8 for $9

    IT WORKS!!
This product is insane! It’s soooo good! We live in hot, humid DFW area. We have 2 dogs and every neighbor surrounding us has dogs. We pick up after our dogs, but unknown if the other neighbors do. I’m sure regardless, we would still have a ton of flies we hung this on our fence and what a huge difference. I highly recommend!Look at how many are in there!!

    Great Fly Killer!
Thanks to the amount of rain we got this year, I was noticing a massive fly explosion near our chicken coop and knew I needed some type of fly control (which I’ve never needed in my 5 years of chicken keeping). This product works wonders!I followed the directions and hung this up on a tree behind our coop. We had cool weather so it caught some flies but a couple weeks later we had a mini heat wave and this thing filled up in just a couple days! I noticed there’s less fly activity around the coop and every day it’s filled more and moreThe water inside will evaporate so you do have to keep topping it off. I’m able to hit it with a hose, without having to take it down and unscrew it, via the holes the flies go in.The top unscrews easily for bait changes or emptying. The bait it comes with smells terrible (but it’s good at attracting flies!) keep in mind this isn’t something you’d want too close to where you plan on relaxing or having company because it does smell bad, and it will attract flies to the area.It also doesn’t come with a way to hang it. There’s a hole but no string or wire so it’s up to you to figure out what you want to usePros-great at attracting and catching flies!-easy unscrew lid for emptying and refilling-reusable!Cons-stinks! Can’t keep it on a patio if you want to be outside-does need to be topped up regularly, especially on hot days-doesn’t come with material to hang it

No more donkey fly strike or dog ear fly strike
    – Update- We’ve found canned clams work even better than the bait that comes with it. About 25% more flies when we drop 3 canned clams per fly trap. Much cheaper than the refill bait too. We’re on year 2 and there are almost no flies. They were all killed last year. It’s incredible! Traps are all hung but only a few flies in them since there are NO flies! They go to these before bothering the animals. We have them in every stall, run in and by trash cans and hanging under the grill table. (Removed when we hang out outside due to stink) We’re down at least 98% this year. And will barely have to empty them because there are so few flies. So bonus not having to buy more bait, handle nasty dead flies nor do we need fly predators, fly masks or fly sheets any longer. Wish they’d make these for greenheads in the fields and mosquitos!. Old review- These cut our flies by about 90-95% (farm in PA) usually can’t open windows flies can be so bad and in fall flies all over the screens at night tyring to get in, dog ears get fly strike, donkeys legs have fly strike. NONE of that now. I might have 1 or 2 flies per screen on a cool night of them trying to get in, horses barely have to swish their tails in the barn anymore and no more fly masks on them. I put them about every 6-10 feet hanging on a piece of wire. It’s incredible how well they work. Empty out once full, refill with a little water and the refill gel they give you. You can read reviews on amazon. They are incredible. No more fly strike, none in the house or dog areas. They go right to these and drown. Each year there are less bc so few adults winter over. You can also use a few canned anchovies, cat food or clams in them with water for bait which is cheaper. I’m going to experiment this year with the best type of bait. I have used about 10 different styles of these type of traps (spend about $450 on them so they are all over the property and by trash cans etc) and these are by FAR the best trappers and best bait style of other brands. Even using their bait in other brands did not catch as many flies though. These have a really easy entry for flies in comparison to other styles. We also release fly predators around the property but that alone did not make a large difference. Maybe 30% better. These little traps changed everything. Buy 1 or 2 to try and you’ll be amazed. Tractor Supply sells them too for about 40% less than Amazon ($8) if you want to pick some up for less locally.

The smell is unbearable. It wasn’t attracting flies in fact it is impossible to sit with the jar inside the room.

Can’t believe how good this works, after one week it trapped hundreds of flies after two weeks it is full to the top!I feel like I’ve committed genocide! The only issue now is how do I empty it ready for new bait, I know it’s going to stink and a lot of the flies are still alive!

This thing is great! We have 3 chickens that free roam in the garden and last year was a nightmare for flies, so I was determined not to have a repeat of that.Bought the trap in April and hung it from a tree. It took a while to get going but now that the warm weather is here there’s a fresh layer of dead and dying flies in the trap every day. More importantly though, they’re not buzzing all round the garden which means I can actually enjoy my space! Not sure about the smell that others have commented on but ours is currently odourless. That said, we haven’t had to empty it yet… Edit: OK, now that it’s nearly full the smell has become apparent. It’s very strong and “stinky”, but it’s not something that’s unbearable, and still better than having flies swarming all over the garden.I’d also advise to keep the water topped up regularly, which you can pour into one of the entrance holes in the lid. It quickly evaporates, and while it doesn’t seem to reduce the effectiveness of the lure, the flies inside are lasting long enough to lay eggs and probably adding to the smell (and maggots can live in water, which isn’t very nice to see!). I’m not looking forward to emptying it, but it’s still worth the hassle for a usable garden.

I’ve had this fly trap for about 2 years now and it is 100% effective. In the height of summer it fills up in under a week. Holds an insane amount of dead flies. Keeps them away from the chickens. Heard a lot about refills. I’ve not bothered in ages. Empty the dead flies, leaving a small amount in there. Even the ones that don’t come out is enough. Put fresh water in, and the smell is enough to start the cycle again. Fantastic.

This was very pricey and came from America so not great for the environment for postage! Really effective though, but really gross to try to empty. I am putting off emptying it for the second time now and the flys have laid eggs and there is now The full life cycle of the fly happening before my eyes!!! Next time I am going to try putting a plastic bag in there next time so I can just pull this out rather than trying to empty the putrid fly hell into a Bag before putting it in the bin. I bought another make of refills and these were as effective. I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the price was astronomical for what it is and it’s so digesting to empty. I would definitely recommend this as a highly effective but extremely stinky and gross fly catcher! Prepare to be repulsed and impressed in the same thought!!!
