Horses love love these. Molasses treat.
Great horse treats for my three retired mares. I also have 3 show horses that get them after being ridden.They smell good. Made in the USA. A little dent in the middle for pills or other treats. I will put peppermint in mine along with allergy pill. Easily accepted and consumed by my horses.Add a peppmint for an added treat.I also use them for adding allergy pills.I’ve been using these for years. With 6 horses, I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon.

Moist and horses eat them right up
Dimples Horse Treats are pliable, so they are easy to hide medications in them, like bute or Equioxx. Our horses really like them. However, I give the shipper an F because they put the container in a large box with zero packing material, so the container knocked around in that box, busted off the lid, and some treats came out of the container and were broken apart and lost their moistness. I would buy these again from my local store, but not from Amazon shipping.

The easiest way to get a pill into a horse
My horse has the condition formerly known as Cushings. He needs pills every day. These tasty little treats make giving those pills a breeze. He gobble them right up. I was thrilled to find them.

Not soft enough to work as pill pockets
These treats are extremely crumbly and NOT soft/pliable, as advertised. I bought these to use as pill pockets to give my mare her daily equioxx and as soon as I tried to insert the medication into the dimple, the whole treat crumbled. It made a huge mess. I tried to squish the crumbled treats back together to salvage this purchase and was unsuccessful. This was a waste of money as they will not work for what I purchased them for. Recipe probably could use more molasses to make them pliable enough to insert pills into.

Great for giving meds, but expired
Love this to give my donkeys their meds. However, this last shipment that I received was expired by 3 months. Wish they were fresher or had a longer shelf life once they got to me.

Second order:This time two containers in the order arrived with one of the containers cracked. I think UPS threw the box around a lot. I was worried that the product would have dried out. Instead of asking for a replacement I opened the container and checked and they were indeed dried out a bit.I transferred the Dimples treats out of the cracked container and into a different one and very lightly sprinkled water (not much) over the affected treats. It worked! The next day all of the treats had regained their normal pliable consistency.First order:I was a bit worried about how the product would arrive, since others had issues with the container being open, but mine was fine and had a tab that needed to be removed to allow the top to open.The treats work very well for dispensing medication. I don’t need the entire treat, which are quite large. It’s easy to break off what you need and mold the treat around the pill. My little horse is now happily eating his medication that he needs twice a day.
