Galapagos Jurassic Fir Bark is for Humidity-Loving Reptiles. Our bedding is made from 100% Douglas Fir Bark. We use a smaller bark size to facilitate feeding, crawling and slithering. It is a perfect substrate for Tree Pythons, Basilisks, Tomato Frogs, Milk Snakes, Burmese Pythons, Iguanas, Russian Tortoises, Boa Constrictors, Gopher Snakes and similar species. Jurassic Fir Bark comes in an 8QT resealable bag.

Great bark for DIY aroid mix
Great for bark for my DIY aroid substrate . I make my own soil with coco coir, orchid bark, charcoal, chunky perlite and the orchid bark I usually get is white fir bark and it isn’t cheap. I thought it’s try this to use as it seems more higher quality needed for reptiles, so less likely to have issues with mold or pests. The bark is nice size, pretty uniform except for a few larger pieces here and there. Great quality and much more affordable to use in bulk batches of aroid mix. No musty smells or debris. Very pleased with this bark.

Best value for houseplant mix
Iâve gone through 3 bags of this stuff and will continue to buy more, Iâve searched for so many different bark chips to add to my aroid mix for my houseplants and none are as affordable as this one. The quality is consistently top notch, no tiny broken dusty bits, no mold or mildew, and I love that it comes in a resealable bag. It also has a good mix of medium and large chunks which is great for versatility.

great value but beware of mold in gardening
using this in place of horticultural bark and it’s much cheaper and actually higher quality than a lot of the other things i’ve gotten. a bit dusty but not bad when poured out under running water.EDIT: dropped 1 star because it ended up growing mold when used for gardening purposes; i don’t believe this bark likes to stay moist (at least not in my conditions). i won’t blame the product too much because it’s not meant for this purpose but i’ve seen other reviewers mention they’ve used it for gardening as well. thankfully i had some springtails on hand and they were able to clear out the mold and save some of my seedlings.

Very nice bedding
I use this for my boa and he has had no issues at all. They bark comes in bigger chunks so he doesn’t swallow any while eating, and it works well with moisture. It looks like forest floor bedding and gives him something to slither easily on without sliding all over the place. 10/10, my pal Poe recommends.

A MUST HAVE FOR REPTILES!!!!
YESSS!!! Omgs i bought those coconut husk bricks and it was ABSOLUTE HELL!!!!! My kitchen was covered in wetness and ripped up husks!! So when I needed to clean my entire ð tank I thought that theres gotta be something easier!!!! When i say this stuff is a FREAKING GAME CHANGER IT REALLY IS!!!! I will NEVER buy those bricks again!!!

Great for your reptiles needs
This is a great product you get a bunch for the price cheaper than other products. I use this for my ball python and mix with his other bedding to keep it moist and the humidity up.
