Soo much more effective than a traditional brush, I’ll never go back
I love this handy little device. I’ve been brushing the old-fashioned way for far too long. I decided it was time to take advantage of new technology and look for something like this. And I’m happy I found this model in particular. It’s late, ergonomical in your hand, and so easy to operateAnd most importantly, It’s cat approved! Once you get your animal used to a standard brush, the light mist / atomization isn’t that noticeable to them, but makes a world of difference with going through dirty fur, or matted fur.The mist is ultrafine and comes out roughly the same temperature that you put it in at. Is refillable in the middle of the back part of the head. So you can put in hot water or cold water, or just room temperature is what I prefer so that way the cat doesn’t notice it at all. Then there is an on button on the back of the handle that has two levels of misting/steaming, and The button on the front of the handle that looks like a trigger just below the head, is how you release the hair from the brush. It automatically moves the plastic border forwards which pushes the hair off in one big clump so it’s super easy to remove.This is not a heating element, it’s done I believe by pressurization, and super effective. It takes not even a second to get going. Ultra quiet. And again the mist is so fine that the cat doesn’t even notice, and my cat is ultra sensitive and nervous, and panics over the smallest thing. And this works wonders on him without him flinching.So if you’ve been using a standard brush, it’s probably time to make the upgrade. This technology is just so beautifully simple and elegant and effective, that it’s so much quicker to keep your cats groomed without all the fuss, and save so much time in the process.This is also great for older dogs that may not be trying to groom themselves at all, it will keep them looking and smelling fresh. And it’s the perfect size. So fits in the average size hand and is not heavy at all, so you can use it from all angles without hurting your wrist, for those of us with arthritis issues that’s wonderful news.

leaks but works
After using my mom’s cat steam brush on her cats. I wanted to get one for my own and my own cats. This one’s a little bit different than my mom’s. There’s several positives and several negatives to it. So right out of the box, one of the first positives is that there’s a battery indicator light. There’s 4 lights, and it tells you what level. The battery is at. That’s something that my mom’s cat steam brush does not have. So I was very thankful seeing that right out of the box. However, there was no charging cord which was fine because I have a lot of type c charger cords. But the instruction manual did say one was supposed to be included. So I was a little bit confused by that, but then on the actual use. And functionality, one thing that was a little bit disappointing is that when you hold the brush landscape or horizontal, as you would when you brush your cat, the water. Sometimes drips out of the button hole and that is a little bit inconvenient. Because when big water droplets land on my cat, it kind of freaks around We’re out, and she didn’t want to be brushed.Anymore, that’s something that did not happen with my mom’s brush.Because the water reservoir was better contained at the head of the brush.But aside from it, leaking a little bit when brushing, it works out.Well, there’s a good amount of steam that comes off.Getting the hair off is very easy.And it doesn’t give off so much steam to where the hair becomes soaked or gross, it’s just enough steam to basically make sure that the hair doesn’t fly.All over the place which is super helpful in the white cat like sugar after I get done vacuuming.If I brush her the hair gets all over the place.So, the steam of the brush keeps it nice and contained and her fur gets soft.So overall, i’m very pleased with this, and I would get one again.

Large water reservoir, cat enjoys it
Our kitten doesn’t exactly like this because she just hears the water hissing out, so she won’t even let us try using it on her. We do have another steam brush that is smaller with rubber bristles that I feel like is janky compared to this one. This one appears well-made and, as can be seen by the depth of the brush head, has a deeper water reservoir. While I think our adult cat might like a bristle that isn’t metal, he still enjoys this overall. He purrs and bumps his head into me while I’m using this on him. He is also a bit nervous when I use the second setting (more steam than the first setting), but then gets lost in being groomed. I think he equates it to being licked. I also like that this has a button to allow you to pop a plate forward to clean the hair off. It’s a bonus that it’s rechargeable rather than having to burn through batteries. I expect this brush should hold up over time.

I have used this a few times now. I have 4 cats and most of them didn’t mind the steam. One was a little scared at first but got used to the steam after awhile. It was easy to use and seem to function pretty well. I was able to get a good amount of hair from their coats and clean up was a breeze. It was pretty quiet as well.
