Great for “dry’ hooves
Farrier recommended this product. The horses are located in coastal area that can vary greatly from very dry to wet. We use it on the frog as well and has greatly improved their hoovesI am also taking care of horses in the mountains in Upstate SC. The rugged terrain and dry summer has been hard on their hooves even with shoes. I look forward to seeing improvement here as well.

Better than supplements!!
This is a life saver and miracle worker. My horses feet were getting chewed up and brittle and cracking. Heâs SUCH a picky eater I couldnât find a good supplement that he would eat. A friend of mine told me about this so Iâve had it for about a month; I slather it on the sole, frog and front of his hoof. I like that you donât have to be careful not to get it on his hairline like many other hoof remedyâs. Iâve noticed his hoof is already stronger and has stopped chipping up. It doesnât smell the best and the smell lingers on your hands for the night but it works! I bought the 56 oz can this ground.

Great remedy- Very worth putting up with it’s smell.
This is by far the best remedy I used for thrush. It does have an unpleasant odor, but it works and is easy to use. Great for a horse that off and on has a problem and it absorbs into the hoof to keep the hiding bacteria away. I can’t stand most scented things, but I’ll gladly put up with it to keep my horse’s feet healthy,

It lasts a long while! But smells!
I like the product so far, I bought it to fight thrush and it definitely stays on. Slowly noticing changes in my horse. If you’re going to use it make sure you have GOOD solid Medical or Oil resistant gloves, probably Oil resistant ones. I started with Equate Nitrile and its kinda slick. It looks really good on the frog, if you have that Crack that goes to the hoof make sure you really clean it out good so this product can get in there. Also having a hoof knife like farriers use to clean the deadskin off the frog(should just come off easy).Mine DID come with the Brush.I’ll update this down the road like 3-6 months and maybe share before and after pics.Just make sure you put the can somewhere where it won’t be spilled by the horses, even better if you have a helper that hold it. You can slop up the frog and hoof pretty good and STILL have plenty of product left over. Now to deal with THEE worst part of the product. THE SMELL! If you get it on anything it will stay for a long while. If you get it on your bare hands, use alchol(hand sanitizer) alongside soap, maybe scrub 3 or 4 times over and then each bath room break scrub again. It did go away. I also recommend putting this in a bag to keep the smell at bay when not in use.One more tidbit. Have a tissue or papertowel nearby to clean the top off after sealing it will pool on the top.

Good stuff
I used this hoof oil before when it was called hoof doctor. Itâs good stuff, but my order didnât come with an applicator brush. Super annoying since I donât have an old one to use.***EDIT: The company saw my review and ended up shipping me a brush and they even sent another can of the hoof dressing! Great customer service.

Exceptional product for prevention of Thrush and other hoof ailments
I have been using this product on my Horses as a preventive treatment against Thrush , white line, and other bacterial ailments. When the horses are in wetter conditions I use it once a week, or more, in dryer times, use it a couple times a month. Has prevented my Clydesdale and Paint from getting hoof issues. I treat the frog, sole and heel buttress up to water line or pigmented wall, butâ¦. My wife treats the entire hoof up to the coronet, alsoâ¦. alternating with her regular hoof product.
