Great price, NO poisonous colors or soy! And bird loves it.
No artificial colors or junk! I looked at a lot of different seed mixes for parakeets. Not the marketing hype, just straight to the ingredients. There are only a few that donât have artificial colors, soybean and other fillers. This is the only one which is affordable in that bunch. I saw another brand who has organic seeds plus fruits and veggies. I saw that the same first ingredient is included in this seed mix, millet. But the seed is 1/5 the price. I will, of course, have to supplement with other foods like veggies and fruits to make up for the lack of in this mix. But I am very happy that there is only orange oil added with vitamins and nutrients. I donât think the vitamins and nutrients are actually a benefit, but at least there is no poisonous colors or genetically modified soy or other harmful additives. I am happy with this for my lennie parakeet. And I just got it out of the bag and he went absolutely bonkers for it! I am very satisfied.

Quality staple budgie seed
My keets eat it. It does not smell. It doesn’t break by a human, but easy for the bird. It appears normal for seed. It’s nutritious as a staple.

Great Mix!!
I considered buying this seed mix because it has whole seeds, no pellets and no dyes. And on top of it, itâs at a good price. I feed this to my budgies both dry and sprouted and they eat it all!!! It didnât come with mold, or moths and the bag was not puffed up which are all good signs!! I definitely recommend getting this seed mix instead of other mixes like Wild Harvest, Kaytee, Encore or Higgins. Just remember seeds should NOT be the only thing your budgies or other small birds eat. Like the bag says, feed a variety of leafy greens, herbs and veggies along with seeds so they get their nutrients.

Just seeds, finally! No unwanted additives.
Itâs been so hard to find parakeet food that contains only seeds. My birds will not eat those red and green artificially colored pieces in my current brand and Iâm so glad. I feed them organic veggies, fruits, and grains twice a day in the form of chop and I just want pure, clean seeds to supplement their food. This brand appears to solve that issue and my budgies eagerly enjoy these seeds. They love to hop back and forth between the chop and these seeds and truly enjoy their meals. So far I only have a positive experience, so Iâm going to recommend and continue to buy this brand. Itâs a good value for the money, too.

I wasn’t sure which brand of seed to buy for my budgie, but I’ve always know about the good reputation of Hagen, so I decided to buy this brand when I saw it. I’m certainly glad that I did, because my budgie really seems to love this food, even preferring it over her budgie treats and millet; after reading the back of the bag I am not surprised! This food is full of absolutely everything that wild budgies seek out in the wild, and has the pleasant smell of oranges. My budgie seems happy and looks very healthy too – I am going to go out on a limb, and say that most budgies would enjoy eating this seed mix, and I highly recommend it – my budgie loves the seed, and I love the price and reasonable bag size!

my budgies will eat this one more than the other brands I offer them. There are never any “other” things in the bag like some other brands (like rocks, other seeds, other things than seeds or bugs!). They are fresh, and contents has a pleasant smell.I store them into a glass jar rather than re-use the bag, I find the bag tears too easily. (and I do not want any mice/bugs to start hanging around the cage looking for a free meal).when I empty the cage and clean up I throw the “debris” (husks the birds spit out and the seeds they throw on the floor), into the garden for the outside birds. Be careful! these seeds are not always irradiated, so they can grow plants! I put all the seeds into the same spot and I have millet and other beautiful plants growing wild there. It is nice (as long as you plan it). I used to throw them out on the gravel driveway (got weeds growing before I realized it was my fault).I buy them regularly, and have always had great quality.
